Reliable and easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received the Roku Wired Outdoor Camera through Influenster to test, and here’s my experience using it. First off, the setup was surprisingly straightforward. The instructions were clear, and connecting it to my Roku account took only a few minutes. The wired connection gives a sense of reliability since I don’t have to worry about battery life, which is a big plus for outdoor cameras.
In terms of video quality, I was impressed. The 1080p resolution captures clear, sharp images both during the day and at night. The night vision works well, though like most cameras, the colors are muted in darkness. Motion detection is accurate, and I appreciate the instant notifications on my phone whenever activity is detected.
I also like that it integrates with the Roku app, so I can view the live feed and recorded clips without switching between multiple apps. The camera is weather-resistant, and so far it has held up well against rain and wind.
On the downside, the wired setup means I had to do a bit of drilling and cable management to mount it where I wanted, which might be tricky for some. Also, some features, like longer cloud storage, require a subscription, so keep that in mind.
Overall, I’ve found the Roku Wired Outdoor Camera reliable, easy to use, and effective for keeping an eye on my property. It’s a solid choice if you want a dependable wired camera with good integration into the Roku ecosystem.
