One of the best mini fig selection I’ve seen but the ship is kinda overpriced of the size

The minifigures sold this for me... The build is fun and a decent price...compared to other sets in this wave...I feel pretty pleased with the set and price value

Best In the Summer Wave

Figs are great, the clone pilot is accurate, obi wan and ventress have great printing, and the overall quality of the set is great. The build was fun and it turned out bigger than I expected. The price per piece is not great but I think the minifigs make up for it. Overall, it’s a nice set.

Way too small for the price

Too small for the price, not the right size, lacks the play function from the last set and the proportions aren’t even close to being accurate

Overpriced

Minfigures are pretty much the only selling point of this set. The build is just eh and the bottom wing is way too blocky

Nearly Perfect, but a Must-Buy
on August 3, 2025

As someone who never owned the 2008 Torrent, I was excited for this set to be released. In my opinion, this set trumps the 2008 version in every way, except for the functionality of folding the wings up and down.
The minifigures included are amazing; a new helmet mold and torso print for the clone pilot, new torso, leg, and arm printing for Obi Wan, and a new Asajj Ventress for the first time in 12 years, also with leg printing. Including arm printing for Ventress is the only improvement that could have been made as far as figures go.
The build itself is great, but not perfect due to a few minor cons. I am a fan of the smaller builds, as they are often more detailed, sturdy, and offer more room for display. This build checks all 3 of those boxes. The sloping of the cockpit looks sleek, the wings and engines are a perfect blend of sturdy and slim, and the middle fin looks great, even from both sides. The few downsides to this build are minor, but make enough of a difference that I can't rate it as 5 stars. First, is the strange sloping on the red accent at the front of the starfighter. A red 3x2 sloped piece would have looked less "chunky/blocky" and made the model look sleeker. Second, is the lack of detailing for the undersides of the wings. The "underside" of the tail got a few reverse tiles to help detail it, and it would've been nice to get a few for the wings as well. The last is the unreliability of the "clipping" play feature for the fin. You can shake the model to have the fin fall or raise into position, but it doesn't always clip just into place when going from the landed to flight position. Adjusting the underside to include a 2x1 clip block like the back may have allowed for a more reliable feature.
Overall, I'm very happy with this model. It looks great on display, I'm sure kids will enjoy its "swooshability", and the inclusion of 3 minifigures. I do hope Lego will reuse the pilot helmet mold again so that it is not exclusive to this set. I think this set is a must buy, as its great on display and for play, and when compared to the rest of the August 2025 wave, is reasonably priced.

Great, but not as good as the 2008 one

It's really good, very sturdy, and surprisingly not too repetitive to build. It looks amazing in flight position, albeit the 2008 one has better play features. If the 2008 one didn't exist, this would easily be a 5/5.
