SERVES ITS PURPOSE

DOES EVERYTHING i WANTED IN A GOLF WATCH, I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE HAD AN INSTRUCTION MANUAL WITH THE WATCH. INSTEAD I HAD TO SPEND A LOT OF TIME SEARCHING THE WEB FOR THE INFORMATION ON SET UP AND USE.

The battery lasts a long time and is lightweight.

Even when I play a round, the battery usage is only about 20%, and when I wear it as a watch on a regular basis, it only uses 2-3% per day on average, which was surprising. When I used other brands, I had to charge it every evening, which was annoying, but with the S44, I've been wearing it for a week now without charging it. What surprised me the most was that my phone fell out of the cart during a round, and the S44 notified me. Of course, other devices vibrate when they fall away, but that's the end of it. With the S44, when I press the confirm button, it shows an arrow indicating which side my phone is, so I was able to easily find my phone that was dropped in the middle of the lawn. The more I use this watch, the more I like it.

Excellent GPS golf watch

I bought this S44 to replace my 10 year old S2 which was still working but the battery wouldn't allow for a full round and Garmin no longer supports this model. Garmin was great and gave me a discount for being a customer. I am amazed at the resolution and how easy it is to use. I had concerns that because I am older that I would have a hard
time seeing the screen but so far it hasn't been an issue. The battery life is amazing as after playing 18 holes the battery was still at 84%. I wish the season wasn't ending here in Oregon and I am looking forward to the spring to use it again. I also like all of the other non-golf features and sometimes just wear it as a smart watch.

Wrist Band Needs Work

Just a couple of things. Overall is works pretty well. The wrist band is rubber and hard to get on. It also tends to go to other sports if you don't hit Play Golf just right and occasionally it gets on wrong hole. I had my last Garmin 10 years, and it was the best.

There are so many golf watches out there, and I've had an early Garmin for a long time. Started reading up on these, and just sorta guessed and picked this one. I already want a second for my travel golf bag. It's simply a joy. Makes me smile.

They changed the connection to charge the watch and you are forced to buy something else to convert it to a normal plug to use.
