Great golf and activity watch

This watch replaced by old Approach S60 which I had for many years. The battery life is fantastic and the features are very good. The enhancements to show distance to hazards is very useful. The only negative is the watch band. Once on it is very comfortable with its velcro connection. My hand barely fits through the band to take it on or off and if I pull the end of the band through the link, it is very hard to get back on with one hand. I may have to buy an aftermarket band to replace it. This was supposed to be the large/extra large model.

Full Featured Golf/Smart Watch

Finally a golf watch with the size and features I wanted. It is the right size on my wrist. It does not interfere with my golf swing. It is easy to read in sunlight without reading glasses. I can easily keep score on my watch. I thought I would want a silicone band but have come to really love the stock band. Those with a large hand might need to work at it a bit to get it over your hand. I love that you can really customize the watch face with the information you want using the ConnectIQ App. I wear it every day. It is a great looking watch. AMOLED display means it can be on all the time and still have reasonable battery life. It also works go gamify my other activities by tracking not only golf but also walking and pickleball. I am very happy with my Approach® S50.

Nice watch but not a fan of the band

I had difficulty putting on and taking off the nylon strap and it didn't make sense to buy add-on silicone straps. I opted to return the S50 and ordered the S70 in the large format for the few added features.
I do love Garmin products, had an S42, so I recommend the band be upgraded to silicone or make the nylon strap a bit bigger as I do not have a large wrist or hands.

I bought my approach S50 because I was satisfied with my S3 .
When I read the introduction I saw that it had same activities as my old clock + all golf activities.
To my surprise I couldn’t get the activity “ step upwards “
Therefore you will not get 5 stars

Nice job! Easy to use, easy to see! In three weeks it has helped me lower my scores on my home coarse 10 strokes (I’m not lying). Maybe I should wear two of these things!
