My first pair of bone conducting headphones. I am not an outdoor runner so my review may not be as valuable to those who are since this product is meant for that. I can say that these are incredibly comfortable and sound great in my opinion. I wear them to the gym to run on the treadmill, walk the dog, listen to music while I work and to do Duo Lingo lessons while watching tv with my husband. He will be getting a pair for christmas for sure. I have had some instances where I could not hear well when the gym is really busy but for me, the pros (lightweight, comfy, secure, no itchy ears from earbuds, no neck ache from heavy head sets) outweigh the cons (hearing the world around you).
I listen to a lot of ambient house music and techno and the ‘oomph’ of the bass certainly comes through well. Its not the same immersive experience as over-ear noise cancelling headphones but if you think you are going to get that from open ear headphones you are delusional and need to manage your expectations. I’m really happy with my purchase.

Excellent upgrade to Openrun Pro

I have had the Openrun Pros for a couple of years now, and they were definitely my go to headphones for outdoor activity due to being able to hear what is going on around me. In general, being unable to turn them up too high because of the vibration was a minor annoyance, because they were comfortable, stayed on well, and had adequate sound quality.
I got the new Openrun Pro 2s because the upgrade sounded intriguing, and I love the color orange, so that was enough. When I got them, I didn’t really expect much of an upgrade on sound quality, just not having the vibration. I was wrong! The sound is much cleaner, with a clear improvement on bass especially. I would say the sound went from adequate to very good. Of course the best parts of the improvement are most obvious in quiet environments, but they still sound good when turned up in louder surroundings. They sound especially good with audiobooks and podcasts, making the voices clear and clean.
The Openrun Pro 2s also maintain the all-day comfort of the originals, have great battery life, and the USB-C charging means I don’t have to bring an extra cable just for them. I am extremely happy with my purchase.

Sometime along the way Shokz started to impose an upper limit on a sound volume. Can't hear pretty anything in way too many cases, e.g. biking next to a semi busy road. Wasn't the case with the earlier iterations of a non-running headset.

No more buzzing like Shokz Pro at high volume. Equalizer feature on App is a plus. The rubber cover for the charging port hopefully will last since it has to be opened and closed multiple times for the USB C charger.

Other than while mowing the lawn, these sound pretty good. Still lacking a little in the bass/treble areas, but you can't really expect great response in those areas with this type of headset. Sounds way better than the OpenRun model I had previously though. I wish I could connect to 2 bluetooth devices like with some of my other headphones. I use these mostly for my days in the office and can listen to my music and take calls (others say the noise filtering works pretty well and they can hear me clearly). Overall, I'd say they are a little expensive for what you're getting, but they do work well and maybe the technology is just more expensive. I'd say I'm happy with them overall, just wish I felt like the "bone conducting" feature worked a little better. When I turn up the volume, people close to me can hear what I'm listening to - which is kind of what I was trying to avoid with this purchase...
