pleasantly surprised

Now that I am running consistently, I wanted to pick up a dedicated pair of buds that stay in/on. I tried a different model of shokz before and they sounded pretty bad so I was skeptical, but I figured I would give these a shot since there were a lot of reviews stating the sound quality is improved. Well, after the neat looking orange pair came in, I was quite surprised. I had no issues pairing to my Galaxy watch 7 AND Galaxy S22U. After quick pairing, I could immediately get right into my run and the sound quality is pretty good (for this style). They do not move at all when you are on the move and they last more than long enough that I usually only have to charge them once or twice a week. While I do miss cranking up the bass for faster runs, these do have impressive bass for not sealing your ear.

Increased sound. Base response from a bone conduction device. Increased battery. What’s not to love

Like a second pair of ears

Great set of headphones that really feel like your listening with a second set of ears. I gave it 4 because of the small static and crackling I've experienced. Turning them off and on again seemed to reset it.

Functions just like my version

Functions just like my version 1 pair does making it super easy to adjust to. Great for workouts and really easy to keep clean. Sound quality has had a major improvement. Haven't had many good opportunities to use the microphone, unfortunately. The speakers are much bigger than original headset, so I am much more nervous about using the headset in the shower or cleaning them directly under the faucet. Still the only product that will produce a great sound quality without completely blocking out the world around you.

Old mini was better

I don’t like the new charging flap…I am sure it will not last. Also I preferred the voice say “power off” rather than just the tone notification. Finally my old ones were blue, so easy to distinguish from my husbands.

Love these.. no more ear

Love these.. no more ear buds falling out of my ears during workouts. Wish I had ordered the small size, but the standard size is ok. You can wear these during the bike part of a triathlon and still hear those approaching.

Wonderful sound and comfortable!

VERY happy with my Shokz OpenRun Pro 2. They sound GREAT! I was very surprised. These are my first bone conducting headphones. I normally prefer Bose audio for decades. But, my QC25 headphones make my ears sweat on my walks and are very bulky in my personal item bag on airplanes.
They are comfortable and very lightweight. I've used them for about a month. They've never even came close to falling off.
I like being able to listen to my music privately and have a conversation with others. You can also turn them up so loud that they drown out other sounds as well.
Ear buds just won't stay in my ears. I wanted something very portable that I can use on airplanes, taking my walks and shopping.
They come in a nice case with a 6" usb C charging cable. The only thing I wish was different... the case could be a bit smaller. An inch is premium space for airline personal item bags. However, the case is about 1/4 the size of the Bose case.
YES! I'd recommend these to anyone especially for use when active.

No More Headaches
on September 28, 2024

I was really bummed when my pair of OpenRun headphones stopped working just beyond the warranty period. I have adopted Shokz into my daily work routine. There are days between work and a run I could have my headphones on for over 12 hours in single a day. It made working in the field, taking phone calls, listening to podcasts or music so much safer but it came at a little price. After wearing them for so long each day I used to get headaches with my old OpenRun headphones. With the lower clamping force of the new OpenRun Pro 2 version, these have gone away. I do miss the sleek design of the older version. I felt like they blended into my beard more and were significantly less noticeable. I get more questions about what I am wearing now with the new Pro 2 version since the are a little more noticeable and there are times that makes me feel like I am not as professional as I would like to be and have found myself removing them more throughout the day when meeting with different individuals.
