I brought my Vitamix 5 years ago. I have had no problems at all with it. I’m so happy. I make my green juices. The strength of the machine breaks the cell walls on my veggies and brings out the most potent green juice possible. I recently had to replace the blender container. I made the transition hassle free. My 5 year old blender used the up to date containers. It was great!!

Amazing Warranty!

My self-detect container has worked flawlessly for the past 2 years, but out of the blue it was no longer being detected by my A2300 blender. It still looks like new and there were no obvious signs of defect. The smoothie cups and food processor containers I have were still being detected and worked just fine - it just stopped recognizing the 64-oz low profile container. So I called Vitamix for support, expecting to be walked through a reset or something... however after I explained the issue and provided my serial number they advised they would be sending me a replacement - without any quibble whatsoever! ...then the replacement even arrived within 43 hrs! Amazing customer service and warranty. They really stand by their products.

This pitcher is the most expensive model they sell and you can’t even remove the blades. It’s terrible for any blends less than 32fl.oz. The worst part is the “Detect” feature forcing you to buy this if you need a replacement for your Ascent series blender.

We apologize for any confusion about our containers. The blades in this container are not meant to be removed. The low profile 64 ounce container does require that you blend at least 3-4 cups of ingredients in order to cover the blades and prevent splashing. If you would like to be able to blend smaller quantities with your Ascent machine, we recommend investing in the 48 ounce with Self-Detect. i made a ginger shot juice and the whole container was stained and until today i cant get some of the yellow tones of the turmeric off.

Hi! There are certain herbs and spices (turmeric, curry, cloves, cinnamon, saffron, etc.) that contain volatile oils, and can further cause the container to become stained, discolored or marred. When this occurs, we recommend pouring equal parts of water and white vinegar into the container. Let the container soak in an upright, standing position for several hours, then pour the contents out and use a soft pot scrubber to clean the inside of the container. Please be cautious when cleaning around the blade assembly. Also, please keep in mind that it may take several attempts before the staining/discoloration is completely removed.

Good but not Great

It feels like it really needs larger blades than what it has. It does a decent job but the 48 oz container seems to give smoother blends with a shorter time than this one. The cover was much better designed in the older containers as a 2 piece cover rather than the new containers that are 3 piece, which make it a bit more of a pain to clean since you have to remove the silicone gasket in the top. This container will also throw much more food on to the upper parts of the container compared to the 48 oz version as well as the older 64 oz version.

Too wide

The container is too wide, so I always have to make bigger batched than I want to. If I just want to make either soup or ice cream for 2 or 3 people it is just not possible. I need to make 6 to 8 portions each time.
I bought the Vitamix as there were hints that the Company was dealing with this issue and a new slimmer container was on its way, but that never happened. Very dissappointing.
