Replaces the old blender after the blades are dull. We use ours daily. I THINK it worked well for about 2 years. I wish the blades could be exchanged - that would save a lot of money. These are quite expensive.

I use for large batches and small. Handles both with efficiency. I have yet to pack it full, but according to Vitamix tips, you can. I like being able to make a pitcher of cocktails for guests and have enough for everyone with one blend.

My brand new container scratched and is leaking

I'm so disappointed as I really love vitamix products and I have two machines one here and a second one in my beach home... I was doing a frozen açai with ice and little water and my container scratched and the next time I tried to use it again, it just leaked from the scratch!!! I got really sad as I really love Vitamix.
