These cameras turned out to be the perfect fix for a problem I didn’t even expect to have. I needed to keep an eye on a corner of the house, but running yet another USB line or a dedicated jack out there sounded about as fun as wrestling an octopus.
Enter the Duo Pan Cam. I’ve got the fixed camera aimed at the clubhouse a few hundred feet away, and the PTZ handles the 240° sweep I needed to cover that whole corner.
Honestly, it’s a win/win for me and for our small community. Sometimes the right gadget really does make life easier.
I have had a love hate relationship with Wyze. They lock the cameras behind their own ecosystem which isn't great. They lack POE options and quality isn't on par with higher end cameras. Over time Wyze has pushed harder to deliver better cameras. I picked up this PTZ duo camera because I was intrigued. I have been very pleased with it so far. It allows fixed waypoints for quick movement to common views. The camera quality is quite good and the idea of a fixed view and a PTZ option in one camera is great. You are still limited to their app but it might be worth it. You even finally get USB C on this one. Where it fails is it's tracking isn't always great and it needs sensors all around so it can track movement from all angles. Higher end ptz cameras have this. For the price this is a great camera.
Love the camera, but hate how it views in the app. Trying to look at it compared to my other cameras it condenses both views into one screen and makes them small and hard to manage. Please give them each their own position like other cameras.
