The cameras are great. The conept is awesome. AI is super. But plugging in a security camera to a nearby socket makes it very easy todefeat for an average crook. Battery pack/solar panel combo is needed.
Duo Cam is a great concept and both cameras provide excellent video resoluton, but when positioning the stationary cam for the desired view on anything other than a level surface (i.e. ceiling/table, etc) the pan cam ends up with a tilted view as it follows any movement. If the pan cam could incorporate a form of stabilization or horizon leveling as it rotates, it would be great.
Great cam. But takes too long to pull the video feed when viewing from my favorites. But when I click the cam view to review footage, the vid feed connects quickly. I have the older cam 3 and the vid feed downloads much quicker.
Rotation sound is so obnoxious that I can't leave my camera sound on at night (or during day either) to hear if my feral cat friends outside are fighting or be able to hear weirdos walking by outside. Im not sure if that's normal or if mine is just defective, but if it's supposed to be like that, that's a total failure. The picture quality is better than my v3 cam pan but the options for how often this new one rotates are lacking what i wanted. The camera with less options but better turn sequence was better. Oh, and one of the best things about my campan v3 camera was that it connects to Alexa & Alexa will announce when there is a person walking by and at what camera. This new one im reviewing that's supposed to be so much better doesn't even have that option, which we greatly valued as a safety precaution. So overall it's been a great big disappointment. It's unfortunate because i was really looking forward to this camera.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fantastic concept integrating two cameras into one device. For future versions, I would recommend redesigning the mounting arm to connect at the center between both cameras, with each camera able to pan independently. This would open up unlimited mounting options—such as side-by-side or top-and-bottom configurations—and greatly increase versatility. Other than that, it’s a very impressive product. Also, a solar-powered version in the future would be an excellent addition.
