I love my new kettle! It is super sleek and I love that it can retain temperature/tell me the exact temperature. It is smaller than my last kettle and only has room for enough water to make 1 french press (no leftovers), so if I empty it and put it back on the base, it sizzles (just FYI)...gotta refill it before doing that. I use water filtered from my Berkey but it is starting to calcify a little on the edges of the spout. I was hoping it wouldn't do that and may need to look into keeping distilled water in stock just for the electric kettle. There was a problem with turning the kettle on and missing pixels in the digital screen. Fellow customer service did a great job resolving that issue for me and provides excellent customer service.
Great looking, good quality, smart , perfect for your kitchen
I would recommend this to a friend!

Could be a little better, but so far it's great for tea!!

Things I liked:
1) I love the variety of options, especially the 'hold' feature and the ability to select a specific temperature. I started using it today to brew some hojicha tea. I brewed several sachets in the past just by guessing the water temperature...however when I tried it this time with the corvo kettle, it had a much fuller and richer flavor, and was so much less time consuming!!
2) I also like the pre-boil feature. It's nice to have that extra water sanitization for teas that need not-quite-boiling water.
3) I was really surprised at how small the kettle is!! For me it's PERFECT since typically I only heat enough water for 1 satchet.
Things I didn't like:
1) What I'm not too thrilled about is that the controls and instructions aren't very intuitive. I turned it on to explore the menu options and didn't realize for a few minutes that doing so automatically set the empty kettle to boil, which I later discovered could've damaged it. So I'm starting this journey always wondering if I'm using a damaged kettle.
2) I'm also a little confused about the altitude calibration. I'm at 149m elevation, which the manual says water boils at 100'C but the device set itself to 99'C as the maximum.
3) I kind of would've liked some guide marks, either inside or outside, so I fill the kettle directly, instead of filling a liquid measuring cup, THEN filling the kettle.
4) The wood handles don't really go well with my kitchen decor, and I was ready to go with the Studio Edition, but that just came in solid black which seemed like a toxic color for a detoxifying beverage like tea, so more colors would've been nice.
5) It also would've been nice if a small amount of mineral oil were included--since you put a note on the device advising that we use it. I imagine most customers want to start using the kettle out of the box, not fish around for unexpected accessories.
6) Lastly, It would've been nice to have a countdown timer instead of a stopwatch (or a toggle in the settings)
After the first use, I'm happy overall with this kettle. We'll see in a few years though. These kettles don't have a great reputation for endurance. But for now I'm happy.
