The single button on the device doesn't always work; I often have to press it twice to get it to turn on. For a device that costs literally 5x that of competitors, it's disappointing...

Beautifully designed, solidly built, and usable without thought

This is by far the simplest and best electric kettle I've used. I've become spoiled by the ability to get hassle-free hot water to a precise temperature in 2 minutes.
In addition to the sleek and soothing design, some things that I like:
- Centigrade scale
- Super simple setting mechanism
- Temperature setting persists (which means I can just hit the on button several times during the day to get me water at the tea temperature without having to make a decision)
- No gurgling – the drain holes in the lid mean I get a smooth pour with no accidental mess
- Small volume and compact footprint (a boon in a tiny kitchen like mine)
- Centigrade scale

Build quality is great; I did have a little bit of a weird taste the first couple of times I heated water even though I followed the cleaning instructions, but that went away very quickly. I've had this for a couple of months now and there have been zero problems.
