Decent Product for the Price

The tech and app UX/UI could use some work but overall for the price and what it offers, it’s a good little camera. There were some connectivity issues which can be frustrating because this is the kind of item that when you need it to work, it really has to work.
It also offers a surprisingly decent camera quality!

Clear picture, good home monitoring system

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Blink Outdoor 4 camera is a good camera for home security. The AI detection is a little off, it detects some things but not others and there’s no real pattern to it. The picture quality is clear, the audio is very good. Night vision is really good, unless you have it indoors and up against a window like I did, then the light from the camera creates a glare and you can’t see anything except the glare. It is marketed as an outdoor camera however so I can’t hold that against it. Set up was easy. The outdoor mounting system was a little confusing to me but I didn’t need it anyway. The sync module was good, I had it a floor away and it still picked up quality without any issues. I hate that all of these systems require a subscription to access the full features and this camera is unfortunately no exception. Overall, 4/5 stars.

Clear and easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy to set up and get connected. I have this outside the house and not near the router and connection seems to be fine. The motion detection notification is great too. And sounds like its easy to add additional cameras as needed.

Woods Security Initiated

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have cameras on the front and back doors of our house but we've been wanting one for the side/woods area so this was quickly put to use. It's been up for a few weeks now and it's been good. Set up took about 25 minutes. My 68yo mom wasn't able to figure out the battery cover (you have to use a coin to unscrew the back of the camera to insert the batteries) The battery is still strong. There is a delay when viewing the camera but it does alert you more accurately/in real time which is more important to me. I appreciate the simplicity of the Blink device, it's much easier than our vivint system but less clear and less in real time. I think it's worth the lower cost and we are looking into switching our system to Blink.

Great camera, easy to install!

Included second device that needs to be plugged in, maybe a WiFi extender/transmitter for greater range, but we didn’t need it. Looks pretty durable, we also installed it under an eave. Very clear audio and picture. Included 30 days of premium blink plus plan. Motion detection works well. We’re really happy overall!

Complicated and Mediocre

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was honestly disappointed in this product. At first, everything seemed good, the package came with absolutely everything you need, which is amazing. However, the instructions weren’t very clear on how to open the camera and that became quite complicated. The app set up was pretty easy and quick to do. Once the camera was up and running I noticed that the image would go from color to black and white very randomly. The motion detection kind of sucks because it doesn’t start recording until halfway through any motion and misses a lot of things. I also hated that you couldn’t watch the live feed for more than a couple minutes because it would kick you out. Sometimes the videos recorded didn’t even have any motion at all which just made it a way of taking up the limited space. I only had it running for about two weeks before the battery started dying and the camera stopped running. When I tried troubleshooting to try and turn my camera back on, it wasn’t working. Honestly, this camera does come with great features like audio and mic, however it doesn’t work that well and is more complicated than it should be.

Tiny but mighty

We are using ours for “chicken security” since our flock got attacked while we were on vacation. Only this is there is a slight lag in real time to video on your phone.

Everything you need is included, super easy setup, super easy app interface-great for experienced or inexperienced folks looking to get a home camera system. I love that it has its own sync module, its affordable, you can easily add onto your system. The camera quality is clear, the motion feature is absolutely incredible especially when you enable the early notifications which alert you of any movement when its happening, you can live view your feed, view recorded motion events from your list of clips. These are super good home-monitoring cameras with all the features I would ever want!
