Great tool but really disappointed in value

Product is amazing but feels like you get squeezed when you spend this kind of money and they provide the small mixing bowl. Seriously, if I spend top dollar, I expect to the full kit with the 8 cup size mixer. Bit of a gut punch.

Horrible burning smell

I’ve had this machine for 4 days now. Purchased the larger 64 oz self detect container to go with it, and it doesn’t work well at all!!! A horrible smells from the gears grinding is produced anytime I try to make a smoothie, and the machine jumps around the counter with simple frozen ingredients. I am so disappointed as I have always loved my precious vitamix blenders… but this is crap. Not worth the price tag if it isn’t going to work with th other self-detect containers.

The container description does indicate "Not currently compatible with the following Ascent X programs: Frozen Cocktails, Smoothie Bowl, Frappé, Nut Butter, Non-Dairy Milk, and Spice Grinding." We are happy to set up a return if you would like.
The behavior you are experiencing is completely normal for a newer machine. Although all motors are tested at the Vitamix production facility, heavy use will cause further curing of the motor windings. This curing gives off a burning smell and is typical for wound motors. This smell will quickly dissipate after a few more heavy uses.
In addition, the Vitamix motor is designed to protect itself from overheating. Sometimes the machine may emit a burning odor and/or stop temporarily because its thermal protector sensed that the machine was about to overheat. If this occurs, we recommend turning the power switch off for up to 45 minutes, allowing the machine to cool down or reset. To avoid overheating your machine in the future, be sure to ramp the machine up to the highest speed within 5 seconds of turning it on to activate the cooling fan in the motor. Taking the machine to its highest speed quickly will also help lessen the vibration.

Best mixer I ever tried in my life

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am beyond excited to have received this mixer! it is my first time this brand and as someone who makes smoothies on a daily basis this is GOLD. All the other blenders usually get stuck when the mixture is too thick! But vitamix no!! It also comes with the long mixing tool just in case the mixture gets stuck. I AM ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE WITH VITAMIX! I love the touch screen features! And it is very easy to use and clean.

Amazing machine!

We have made the most delicious smoothies so far and can’t wait to do more! It is going to last forever as you can tell how good quality it is! It even has a great recipe book and makes it so easy to incorporate healthy food into the daily routine! Must buy!

Better than any blender!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What I love about my new Vitamix is the durability. The handle has a rubber handle cover that makes holding the blender easier and gives that feeling of sturdyness. It comes with its own storage cup. One of the best parts of the Vitamix is for me the cleaning cycle. It's always been a hassle for me to clean out my old blender but with the Vitamix all I need to do is fill the blender halfway with warm water, a few drops of dish soap and select the cleaning cycle and let it do its thing. It's versatility makes it more than just a blender, it makes life a little easier.

The future of blenders!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve owned an older model Vitamix for years and never thought anything could compare—until I got the new Vitamix blender, and it blew me away! The touchscreen is incredibly high-tech and makes selecting the settings so simple. The power is unmatched, effortlessly blending everything from smoothies to soups. Plus, the self-cleaning option is a fantastic bonus. My previous vitamins was very big, this is easier to store and a more functional size. Vitamix just makes incredible products, and this new style takes it to a whole new level!
