This is such a wonderful addition to the litter robot I was never good at keeping the litter at the optimal level now with this it does itself. The friendly reminder to fill the hopper as you empty the waste was helpful.

App is not entering or recording litter hopper history in the hopper section of the ap. Overall history recorded litter release first time I manually released litter, but nothing since. Not even manual releases. On two occasions, my cat’s weight was recorded twice at one minute intervals with the second reading recording .3 lbs less than the second reading, but I don’t know if that was because of litter release or not since the app did not record litter released. I installed litter hopper 7 days ago, and I’m not sure that litter level in hopper has dropped or not. Jury is still out on this new devise. I need to more time to determine if it is working properly or not.

Jury is still out. I attached hopper to Litter Robot 4 on Aug 5–one week ago. I have one cat. My app says hopper only released litter once, but it’s not in the litter hopper history. However, since the addition of the hopper, the app has on two occasions, displayed my cat’s weight one minute apart where the second weight is .3 pounds lighter than the first reading. I assume litter was released, but the hopper history continues to display ‘no history.” I think the litter level in the hopper is dropping, but I’m not sure. I think there may be a glitch in the app in that litter releases are not being updated in the app. I need more time to see if litter is actually being released.

Wait to buy

I installed, gave me error codes. Contacted the help desk, well more like robot chat assistant. Waited for someone to respond to the chat thinking I was talking to someone. My lunch break was over and had to leave the chat before anyone could help. Left for vacation this last weekend, couldn’t trust it so I removed the hopper and turned off the hopper till I got back. I’ll give it another go this week, but want it to be reliable again. I kept coming home to the scale saying it was active too long and the drum half turned and stuck In The dump hole with no litter.

I only gave the Litter Hopper a 4 star the instructions don't inform you about replacement on circular attachment which dispenses the litter and how to sync up the Litter Robot 4 if you don't have it connected to WiFi. Power on Cycle button sync the unit up to test dispensing of the litter.

Makes the LR4 complete

As another reviewer mentioned, the Litter Hopper completes the package of truly being able to claim convenience. I took the opportunity to deep clean the machine while taking it apart to add the Hopper bonnet, including all of the sensors. The whole job of disassembling, cleaning, and installation took about 30 minutes from start to finish but it was well worth it. I anticipate being able to fully ignore the LR for about 5-6 days at a time, which is a small miracle given that we have 2 rather large cats (Siamese and Ragdoll) that use a lot of litter.

I have two cats and was having to refill litter every day because of how frequently they go. Now I just fill it up with liter and refill it when I change out the drawer.
