Such a relief not to have to worry about my kitties messing outside of the litter robot due to insufficient litter! Love the notifications of when I need to refill it so I don't have to keep checking its status.

Our cats have been using the Litter Robot 4 for about a year and it has been perfect for us, with the exception of the need to add more cat litter regularly when using this for 2 cats. Now that we have the LitterHopper, it allows us to not be tied to being home or having a cat sitter if we want to go away for a night or two. It is all easy to take apart for deep cleaning and easy to maintain.

it was an easy installation and works well to keep litter level at optimal. We've had it in use a few weeks now and does a great job.

Can’t write review,
After installing, my LitterHopper did not dispense the kitty litter. Then I I realized I needed to update my Robot 4, on my iPhone to make the hopper work. I Resampled everything , but the LitterHopper is still not dispensing the litter. Don’t know what to do about it. Can someone help me?

Listen, I’ve had kitty's forever. I love them ????. But it’s easy to neglect them when you’re busy and don’t change their litter, I know, life gets in the way, blah, blah, But if you really care for your cat (and can afford it) this is the product for you! This takes care of all the litters needs, other than removing the turd bag and disposing of it. I purchased the optional hopper and was easy to install. So much easier to keep up with now that this is automated. I highly recommend! Proverbial “why did we buy this sooner?”

One more chore gone

We love this as it is one more chore of the litter maintenance taking care of. It is easier to make sure there is just the right amount of litter without overfilling and wasting litter.

Learning curve, but works great

When we received the hopper, we were not aware of a plug at the bottom of the Robot that had to be removed before installation. Instructions on that were not very clear. So we had several alerts saying there was a problem with the motor on the hopper. After several attempts, we totally removed the drum of the Robot and found the plug. That should be made very clear in the installation instructions. App addition was fine.

Does NOT work as advertised

TLDR; If you want to use this to make sure that the litter robot is never completely empty, GREAT. If you want to use this so that you don't need to ever add clean litter, THINK AGAIN.
Buyer Beware. I purchased this so hopeful that I wouldn't need to refill the clean litter every day. I set it up and made sure that it was indeed dispensing clean litter.
All of their documentation states the following:
"The LitterHopper is designed to automatically maintain the optimal litter bed level within the globe of your Litter-Robot 4. The 'default' optimal litter bed level is just below the MAX fill line inside the globe. Litter-Robot 4 uses sensors to measure the height of the litter bed level at the end of each clean cycle. If the sensors determine that the litter bed level is below the optimal level, then the LitterHopper will dispense litter into the globe during the NEXT clean cycle."
However, when I contacted support regarding this they informed me that the default "optimal" litter height is 2-3 INCHES below
