Great addition

Easy to install. Before the litterhopper, I had trouble knowing how much litter to add and one cat would pee outside of the litter (makes the litter stick to the liner. Now the litter is always at the optimal level and very few of the clumps stick to the liner

Takes a bit to get it running, but works well

I had trouble getting the firmware updated on my LR4, but you definitely MUST get that done before the Hopper starts working correctly. Once I got that updated, I was able to remove a bunch of litter from the LR, trigger a cycle, then see it actually working. It's important to note that it doesn't dispense litter on the cycle when the level is low, but on the NEXT cycle.

Worth the cost!

I've been a litter robot owner for many years and recently upgraded to the latest and bought this LitterHopper afterwards. I am very impressed. The new Little Robot is super quiet, more reliable, and gives me more detailed info on my kitties, Then the LitterHopper made it even more hands-free! Great product. Highly recommend.

Litter hopper

Not a fan of the litter hopper. It doesn’t not keep enough litter in the robot. It is always below the fill line. I have to add it or it is too thin and the litter sticks because there is not enough of it. Will not be getting another one.

Not bad, but needs manual settings

The Litterhopper is a nice addon for the Litter Robot. It reduces the amount of time you need to spend on managing the litterbox.
However, Litter Robot has chosen to rely on automatic sensing for setting the litter level. In the somewhat complicated setup, if you incorrectly set the litter level, the Hopper will dump excess litter into the robot, which will then dump it into the waste bin.
The exact percentage setting of the litter is available -- you can pull it using the API (I see it in Home Assistant). However, you can't set it manually. Instead, you have to go through the automated sensing system.
The instructions tell you to fill it at or just below the fill line before calibration. Instead, I will suggest that you fill the litter before caliboration WELL BELOW the fill line, perhaps an inch lower. The Hopper tends to overfill.
I would give this five stars if I had the ability to manually set the desired litter level so I can tweak it to avoid wasting litter. As it stands, it's taken me a few days

GREAT ADDITION TO LITTER ROBOT

I'm so happy to have this additional level of automation! Putting the litter into and adjusting the litter level with a heavy box of Arm & Hammer in hand was not easy. It's worth every penny.
