Not working

Installed the litter hopper following the directions. It shows in the app however it does not work. The lip of the New top also does not line up well with the buttons leaving a gap and making it look cheap. Hopefully I’ll find some time to troubleshoot this or I will be returning to the unit.

Great (when it works)

I’ve only had the Litter Robot and Hopper for about a week. The Robot itself works great, I had no problems with setup and my cats took to it quickly. Conversely, I had multiple issues with installing the hopper and found that the instructions on this website were very poor, I had to search Reddit for troubleshooting and setup/calibration tips. It also makes a huge mess if you ever need to remove it (which I have about 3x in the week since I’ve had it). It’s working now and hopefully I’m done messing with it, but if it keeps throwing errors I’m not sure it’s worth the trouble.

Mixed feelings

It was easy to assembly and I was very excited to buy. I think it’s a great concept. However, it has yet to add litter. I can see it’s not the level it should be and it hasn’t added litter. I’m still hopeful but discouraged.
If it does a great job, I plan to order one for my son too but at this point I may just give him mine.

Impossible

I have gotten this to work only once. Motor disconnected error every time. I have vaccuumed all the pieces, put the bonnet on a million times to make sure it is tight along with the hopper. Currently a huge waste of a hundred dollars.

Thus ought to be a standard feature on the LR4–with 4 cats I was constantly topping off litter but with the hopper the level is always perfect. The cats are happier & it saves such effort and babysitting. It was easy to install and I’m happy to keep track of when it dispenses on the app. Wish I would have invested sooner!

Litter robot

I got the litter robot to save litter from being wasted and I feel like I’m going through more litter than ever. Also the hopper will say it needs refilling soon when it’s still full. I keep having to disable it because it keeps adding too much litter every cycle that some gets dumped in the waste drawer every time.
