Works great should be standard

I have to give you 3 stars, 5 for how this thing works but 1 for that fact that this dome should be standard on all units and the hopper and centre piece should be what you order.
Now I have this extra dome that doesn't do me any good, takes up space, or is just garbage. It is a waste.

It allows me to not worry about the litter level. Which when you have 6 cats the let goes fast. Even with 6 cats I only have to check the hopper every few days.

I love this! It’s quiet and keeps the litter at a perfect level. One minor bother is the button icons do not match where the buttons are on the robot (the non litter hopper covered matched up) it’s like the painting program shifted down 2 notches or something. Really not a bother, I use the app, but this may drive someone mad

Litter Hopper Thoughts

Recently purchased a Litter Robot 4 from an online seller. I needed the ramp for it and ordered the litter hopper as well. The replacement dome and hopper were an easy install and adding the hopper to the app. I am using Arm & Hammer Hardball litter as my cats like it and it’s lightweight. However, even though the app has it listed as a choice for litter, it was fairly trial and error to get the right calibration for dispensing. It was putting far too much litter in after each cleaning cycle and litter was being wasted into the waste drawer. I took the level of the litter down about 3/4 of an inch below the max line and did the calibration as instructed on the web site for the level of litter needed. It has helped some, but the hopper is still using the Hardball lightweight litter a little faster than my adding it properly. I’m switching to Tidy Cat brand for Litter Robot when the hopper runs out. I’ll see how that litter works with recalibration and post update. Bottom line is don’t use Har

For most part it's great.

The robot 4 saves us from the dreaded litter box problems of continously having to scoop poop and pee. However, ot constantly stops during a cycle and takes a minute or so to complete. There seems to be no solution to this issue.

As much as I love my litter robot, I cannot say the same for the litter hopper. I will be returning. It doesn’t work proper even when the litter level was low way below the line it did not dispense so then when my cat would go in and urinate, it would stick to the bottom because not enough litter was in there I guess doing it manually myself is not a problem.

I love my little robot, but litter hopper not so much. After hooking it all up and making sure it was going I kept waiting for a litter to dispense the litter got way below the line and still no dispensing so now when my cat would go in and urinate, it would clump and stick to the bottom. It did not have enough litter in there. I checked it to make sure I had it working right and I did and still it did not dispense correctly so it will be going back sadly.
