Great addition to the Litter Robot!

This is a great little add on to the Litter Robot! I was a little disappointed there were no written instructions, but hey I'm old school. That said, the QR code that takes you to the instructional video worked perfectly. I found the video to be very clear and easy to follow. In all this was MUCH easier to assemble and set up than I thought it would be. The device Hopper is extremely well thought out. The Hopper is doing it's job well and has eliminated one more maintenance chore from our lives.
I purchased a 4 before this litter hopper was available. Would highly recommend getting the hopper model. It just makes sense. If you don't have to empty waste container everyday but are constantly adding litter. And no more guessing if there's enough or worse overload it. Well worth the money.
I love the litter hopper! I don’t have to worry about the litter level. Why is that even a thing? With the addition of the LR4 shield, the opening is smaller as expected to do its job, but it makes it hard to see the litter level. It often requires a light to see inside. Then also, it is harder to pour in more litter. Yes, I know that I can take the shield off but why add that kind of wear and tear. The combination of these two accessories has made my life sooo much easier!!
I have a bad habit of overfilling the litter robot. This causes the waste drawer to fill up quickly and waste litter $$$. After 1.5 weeks, I'm having to clean out the waste drawer less and it's keeping the litter bed full. Also, it's way easier to fill the litter robot now with accessories attached to the front as well (litter kicker owners know what I mean). Now I upgraded to overfilling the LitterHopper :)
It was easy to install and worked immediately. I did have to use the control panel to enable it rather than the app because the app did not see it until enabled. I could wish the hopper itself was a little larger (three cats) though I understand the technical requirements around weight and materials. And it is a must if you travel.
