Uhhhhmazing addition!

The hopper is AWESOME. If you're going to make the investment, you may as well go ahead and help yourself to this addition. Perfect for kitty mom and dad's who want to 'set it and forget it', work long hours or go on vacations and aren't always there to replenish litter. Easy to install, super quiet, overall soooo worth it.

LitterHopper investment is money well spent

The LitterHopper works great for maintaining optimum litter levels in your units, which goes a long way to keeping them clean. It was very easy to install without tools and the setup in the app was also painless. Get yourself a big old dry goods bin and a scoop to handle your litter and you're good to go.
It's lots easier to just toss a few scoops in the Hopper every time you empty the drawer. You don't waste litter overfilling from the front and you don't have to wrestle uncooperative 40-lb bags through the front bezel.
I've got them set up side by side so the girls can encourage each other. Two stalls, no waiting! Also it seems to keep the optical sensors cleaner longer. Highly recommended.

Upon set up The litter hopper has failed/errored out every single day And troubleshooting is extremely messy and frustrating. Litter goes everywhere

Did not meet my expectations

The litter hopper is great concept but it doesn't perform the way I anticipated it to. The litter level has to get what I consider very low in order for it to dispense any litter. I removed a great amount of litter, leaving it under the half way mark for the max fill line and it continued to say the litter was optimal and did not dispense. I followed the directions and I ensured my software was updated. Great idea if it performed as intended.

I'm quite happy with this purchase, however there are a few things that I wish were better about it.
1) since I've upgraded to the litter hopper the litter robot overall seems to smell a little more than it used it. Not sure why as I've made sure the bonnet is installed correctly.
2) the dispensing mechanism is a bit louder than I had expected. I purchased the litter robot 4 for it's quietness, but this dispenser is quite loud. It would be great if there was a feature to turn off litter dispensing at night.
Overall though, the convenience is well worth it and it gives me peace of mind that there's a good level of litter for my cat at all times.
