We have two z Litter Robots with one of the two having the added Hopper Marvelous devices clean, efficient, with the app providing real time usage of each of our four cats. Sealed litter tray which app provides litter level, conveniently depositing into plastic bag. Hardily recommend.
It sucks! Don't do it!!!! Use your money to donate to a charity. This company plays on the emotions of having to clean a litter box. The litter robot 4 in general is awful. Constantly gives me trouble. Constantly is cutting off. Constantly gets stuck and causes my cats to go outside the litterbox. The litter Hopper constantly says the motor is disconnected when I haven't touched it and sends me notifications that I need to add more litter when I just added litter within an hour. I'm actually shocked this company had the nerve to send me an email asking for a review. The reviews that I read before purchasing were either fake or from people who had not owned the unit very long I do not know one cat owner that likes it and says it's worth the money and regrets purchasing.
This has been a great addition to Litter Robot. I no longer have to monitor litter levels and can simply top off the hopper each time I empty the waste bin. Well worth it!
The hopper part on the white litterhopper could have been white. I get wanting to reduce product skus, but if you're going to offer white and black, then offer white AND black.
Also, the notification for a household with multiple litter hoppers fails to specify which litter hopper is nearing empty. It just says litterhopper. Which means I have to go and check them both anyway. Which makes the notification useless.
And we thought the Litter Robot 4 was a game changer ! Then came the Litter Hopper. Less maintenance for us but best of all the cats always have a clean box and optimal litter. One of them comes and gives me a rub every time she uses the Litter Robot. I am pretty sure she is saying thanks.
It took far too long to actually get it to work. The interface with the litter robot is very finicky. There were times when I would have to jostle the unit to get it to make contact and actually work.
On top of that, I recently switched to using a dust free litter (Arm&Hammer Platinum Slide) so this may play into this, but when dispensing it tunnels out a hole in the litter leaving a good portion on the side of the hopper. A little vibration during the dispensing might help, but it also might disconnect the unit given how touchy it is to actually working.
It actually does keep the litter topped up though, when it's available. So I give all the credit to the software side of this. The hardware just needs some work.
