Easy peasy!

I love this hopper, no more calling and telling pet sitter to refill litter when we're on vacation. Installation was really easy. Your video instructions were very clear. I love it!

Nice Idea, if it worked

If this thing did it's job, it would be fabulous. But the kitty litter (even the recommended kitty litter) just clogs the feeder hole. So instead of refilling the Litter-Robot as necessary yourself, you have to unclog the feeder as necessary, usually daily. I don't see how it justifies the expense.

The LitterHopper is something I really wanted to have so that when we are out, our cats have plenty of litter. This works great. The unit keeps the litter at optimum level. I will say I had trouble getting it to work. I watched the video, assembled it, made sure everything was right, but it would not work. I ended up having to completely remove it from the app and add it as new again. It started working and has been fine ever since. That took me a month of frustrating troubleshooting to try that. I almost sent it back. The only thing we have noticed since having it is that it likes finer litter. The chunky ones work but can get stuck in the hub jamming up the whole thing, sand like litters work great. In the end, this is the best accessory we have, it allows us to travel without worrying about the litter level. Our sitter can easily add litter to the hopper if needed but we haven't needed them to do that yet because of its capacity.

Undecided if it actually works. I have taken it apart twice now and have followed the you tube videos on set up, calibration, etc. I have done them all. It still doesn’t seem to add litter when the level drops below optimal levels.

Does not deliver on promises

I have spent the weeks since purchasing this doing non-stop troubleshooting. I have cleaned every sensor on our LR4, taken it apart, put it back together, followed every video out there, and yet, it has not once dispensed litter on its own aside from when I follow the steps for a manual dispense. The app itself will show the litter level as low yet still not dispense. I have reset the device, recalibrated, etc etc. This is not ready for prime time based on the current software, unfortunately.

Takes yet another chore away from you

Already happy with the Litter Robot (we call it Mount Doom, it destroys unwanted stuff we throw in it), the hopper makes it even better. Solid construction, easy installation and so much convenience. It's not cheap, but a great addition to the already great Litter Robot.
