My original review (which I can’t seem to change), we couldn’t get the hopper to work at all, even after troubleshooting for days. We finally decided to stop following the written instructions and watched the video. It explains everything so much better and it got the hoppers to finally work! They have been working for a few days now and it’s great! It helps with having to bend over and find something to help put the litter in the unit. It also makes it easier to keep the litter at the right level without having to check it each day. The app tells us when the hopper is low, so we don’t have to worry about checking that either. So glad we got these!

The Litter Robot 4 isn't complete without it!

When I first received the Litter Robot 4 as a present, I was elated, as it was the first kitty litter system that actually worked! The last one I had tried had a auto refill system which I loved, but the litter system did not work. So I immediately ordered the Litter Hopper which completes this already best system available. The Whiskers app alerts you when the hopper needs filled, just like it does when the waste drawer is full.
Is there any way I can have the important 'tend to' alerts texted to my messages? I get push notifications, but texts would be better for me.

Litter Hopper is worthless

If I could give the LitterHopper a zero star review I would. It constantly indicates that I need to add litter, even when it is full. It wastes a lot of litter. It adds more litter than needed and that litter ends up in the waste bin. I am emptying it twice as often as I did before. Given the amount of wasted litter, the bin needs to hold more litter than it was designed to hold. It took multiple tries to install the bin and have it properly sync up with the robot and the bonnet design is very flimsy, Any moderately-skilled engineer could have made the bonnet less flimsy. And why doesn't the standard bonnet come equipped to handle the bin? All in all, a major disappointment.

LitterHopper ROCKS!

I had the Litter Robot 4 without the LitterHopper for several months and it worked just fine. However, when we went out of town, I would have to tell the house sitter when to add litter to the Unit. Now, with the Hopper, I only need to tell them when the Hopper is almost empty, saving time!

Not worth the price or effort

We have tried everything with this litter hopper and it still doesn't work. For the price, it shouldn't have this issue. We've done everything the troubleshooting has suggested, but it still won't refill at all. This is very annoying when we haven't had any other issues with the litter robot 4 in the years we've had it. I wouldn't recommend paying the money for it, we still have to refill ours ourselves and this hopper just remains full all the time. :(
