Roku better than Sony

4 stars is enough because nothing is perfect. Before my Roku TV I had a Smart Sony. I bought the smart Sony eleven years ago and it is not so smart anymore. I stayed away from the Roku because of the fear it might not let me watch all my other devices plus antenna TV. It was hard to find any information on the Roku except from other users on YouTube. The Roku I found has four HDMI inputs, antenna and USB. So I assumed it must allow other devices. I was very pleased after hooking every thing up. There is a learning curve, but is well worth it. It functions way beyond my Smart Sony. I did add a sound bar that was easy to do and had to get a mounting rack so my Roku can turn to other areas of the front room. The remote (with very few buttons) I thought might leave my short of options. It doesn't. Roku does more woth less buttons. And the remote does not have to point at the TV. The only problem so far in the month I have had my Roku is watching a movie on the USB. It works, but I watch through my Blue Ray USB because it is so much better than Roku. I hope this USB Media player app will be upgraded soon. I also hope this Roku will outlast my Sony. I highly recommend Roku if you are thinking about a new TV. While you think about it, Roku has a 30 dollar device that plugs into your old TV HDMI port that also works well, but the TV is far better and doesn't cost as much as Sony.

I am an old lady of 89 years. I do not know technology. For me it's a new world. However, Roku was not too complicated to figure out. There is a lot to it that I love. You can never run out of things to watch or listen to.

Good Quality inexpensive television

I love Roku smart TV's. They are easy to set up and download whatever apps you want to. They also offer live tv shows and are fairly priced. The picture quality is good as well. Good tv for the price.
