65" Roku Q-Dot 4K TV

The Good: At first I was skeptical of this TV, especially at the price level and being a Samsung/Sony owner. The picture is very good and the Quantum Dots coupled with the full array back lighting give it amazing color and contrast. Back lighting is good as are the black levels. It has a fair number of HDMI inputs, the eARC works well to help deliver good sound. Speaking of sound this set has excellent speakers for such a thin (it is heavy) 65" television. A very good selection of apps and a very responsive interface. The Bad: I have had multiple issues where the picture will go completely black yet there will be sound still. It is not user friendly as setup goes and you are limited on customization features. This setup does not work well with home theater setups where a home theater receiver/amplifier may be used but is better suited for sound bar applications. You will experience difficulties if you have to use a Fire Stick or some other exterior source but it does work well with gaming systems. Overall, this is a very solid television for their forst foray into the market, it offers flexibility, features and a very strong price in this market and proves that you don't have to have a big budget to get a great deal.

Quality upgrade

Upgraded from a 10-year old, TCL-brand Roku Smart TV. Looking past the obvious improvements in the technology generally, Roku's own SmartTVs are leaps & bounds ahead in the TV market. Excellent quality picture & audio (the weakest part of the older models), but even that is enhanced by Roku's wireless audio pieces. You just cannot beat Roku for the ease of use and quality of product, especially for the price.

It’s everything I’ll need

Perfect execution of a TV. Other manufactures will bloat their tv’s with APPS, not this one. Select what you need and it’s ready to go. Startup time is quick and navigating is a breeze. The picture is perfect. Works excellent for a PC monitor too!

Picture quality not what I had hoped for

This is a decent TV, and I got it on sale. I absolutely love the Roku interface and have switched all my TVs to the Roku operating system. I don't think I'll ever go back, unless I can't find excellent Roku TVs. Which brings me to... I already had a late model 'other-brand' QLED Roku TV, so when this 65" Roku-branded "Plus" model went on sale I wanted to replace my other 10-year old S_ms_ng big screen with this one. Honestly, the old S_ms_ng has a better picture than this one. I've played with all the settings, and it still doesn't shine like I thought it should. I'm way underwhelmed when viewing the supposed 4K content - it looks no better than my 10 year-old S_ms_ng HD picture. Additionally, it often loses the WiFi connection. It's quick to re-connect, but the 'other-brand' Roku QLED TV I have NEVER loses it's connection.

It works but has flaws

It works but you should expect that. It has nice a nice picture and sound but that's about it. Now for the problems. The power cord is permanently attached so you can't change it for a longer or shorter one. If you wall mount it and don't have a plug behind the tv you're in trouble because the power cord is less than 6 feet. Also the wall mounts screws are located near the bottom of the tv so it could be hard to center. The remote also has to be paired with the tv so it may be hard to use a universal remote. The remote is also not IR even though it looks like it is. You can turn off the voice control which I like.

Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We appreciate your comments and will be sure to pass them along to the product team.
In the meantime, please know that the remote utilizes RF connectivity, which means it doesn't need to be pointed at the device, unlike IR remotes. However, this remote does have an IR fallback in the event that the WiFi connection is unreliable.
Thanks for being a Roku fan, and Happy Streaming!

Good Picture. Subpar Software

This TV has a pretty good picture and good sound. The only problem we’ve had so far is you have to manually restart the TV several times a week as it will not connect to the internet even though the signal strength is full. Kind of a pain.

As soon as I began watching my new Roku TV, a column of pixels started flashing on the screen periodically, necessitating my returning the product to the store for an exchange.

Nice tv but has network issues

TV is nice. Good picture. Great interface. Mine however has to be restarted almost every time I turn it on as it constantly drops connection to my WiFi and that’s the only way I found for it to reconnect. It really makes a nice tv a bit of a pain to use. Other non-branded Roku TVs in our house do not have this issue.

Hello! Thank you for your support of our Roku products and for sharing your experience with us. First, have you tried connecting to a different network, like a mobile hotspot, to see if the issue is with your Roku device or Wi-Fi router? Also, try restarting your Wi-Fi router. You can also improve your Wi-Fi connection by moving your router and Roku device to a higher location in the room. To check the strength of your connection, go to Home > Network > Check Network Connection. For more tips on improving your Wi-Fi connections, please visit https://support.roku.com/article/213122277.
