Samsung loses loyal customer - bad design & return

I was fooled by the review ratings. Most of the 4-5 star ratings are 'incentivized reviews'.
Vacuum may be powerful but the poor design and return policy left me desiring for something else. When the vacuum is stored in its 'Clean Station, the whole thing becomes a huge, space hog. Worse yet, the Clean Station does not store any of the attachments/tools. Perhaps others aren't bothered by it, but I prefer to have my cleaning attachments near the vacuum so I can easily and quickly switch between them as I clean.
Vacuum may be powerful but the poor design and return policy left me desiring for something else. When the vacuum is stored in its 'Clean Station, the whole thing becomes a huge, space hog. Worse yet, the Clean Station does not store any of the attachments/tools. Perhaps others aren't bothered by it, but I prefer to have my cleaning attachments near the vacuum so I can easily and quickly switch between them as I clean.
While the return request process was easy and pleasant, Samsung's poor return policy left a negative impression on me. Samsung's return policy is sub-standard compared to its peers. Samsung charges restocking fee and has a short return window of 15-days (not even a typical 30-days). The rep couldn't waive or lessen the restocking fee. I returned mine eventhough I had to pay a 15% restocking fee.
I'm in the market to replace my refrigerator, washer, and dryer in the next 2-3 months. However, I will be looking elsewhere after this experience. Samsung lost a long-time loyal customer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Dyson Killer

I purchased a dyson gen5 detect a few weeks ago and had nothing but headaches from dyson. Luckily I got an ad that Samsung was launching it's newest vacuum and I immediately had to check it out. I am so glad I was targeted with that ad, timing was perfect. My new bespoke ultra came in today and I absolutely love it! No more having to stick my hand into a dirty dust bin to remove hair from my vacuum.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Battery at half capacity after 14 months

Battery will last just a little over a year in which case Samsung won't even replace. The normal runtime for "mid" suction is only 20 minutes now after 18 months and the "jet" will only be 8 minutes. Horrible experience, buyer beware and get something better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Solid and Stylish

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Vacuums tend not to get along with me very well. I've had many over the years, and almost always get extended warranties for them, out of need and necessity. I'm hoping that this vacuum holds up well over time, as it is certainly stylish, solid, quality-built, and extremely functional. I would like to discuss the product in terms of pros and cons, although the pros far outweigh the cons.
Pros:
1) The vertical holding station is unique, and I love its ability to automatically empty the dust bin after each vacuum's use. It has tremendous suction power in terms of emptying the dust bin, and it does a nice job of emptying the dust bin fully into the bag below--seamlessly and without assistance.
2) The vacuum is surprisingly quiet--especially considering its 400 air watts of maximum power.
3) Each power setting will adjust the remaining time of battery life, but it can easily handle an entire home on
a single charge. The time remaining on its highest level starts at about 20 minutes, and the AI mode can be well over 2 hours. I had no problem vacuuming a 3,000 square foot home, with time remaining. The battery arrived pre-charged at the 30% level, and the initial charge to 100% did take about 4-5 hours. With the vacuum battery at 75% level, it took an hour and forty-five minutes to get it back to the 100% charge level.

4) The Samsung Smart Things app connected easily to the vacuum, without any glitches. In AI mode, the vacuum will adjust itself automatically by detecting hard floor surfaces, area rugs and carpet and responding accordingly in terms of suction and power. All in all, a brilliant step forward in vacuum technology! Also, by being connected wirelessly, any updates to the vacuum occur automatically. My vacuum received an AI update after its second use, when I placed it on the holding/charging cradle. It took about two minutes for the update.
5) I purchased the spray spinning sweeper separately, and love it! I was reluctant at first to purchase it, as I've read many reviews that say the spray function doesn't work. I must have gotten lucky, because the spray function was easy to install, worked perfectly the first time out, and the vacuum cleaner immediately detected the sweeper and instantly displayed "Wet" on the LED handle screen. It acts in a similar fashion as a wet mop, with two round rotating spinner wheels, and the ability to add floor cleaner with the push of a button. I think I'm as excited about the spinning sweeper attachment as I am the entire vacuum. It's very easy to put on and take off, and it includes disposable wet pads if you don't wish to add your own floor cleaner fluid.
Cons and Comments:
1) When the vacuum is not resting in its vertical stand, it does not stand up on its own. Some other vacuums have a lock at the base that typically require you to hold the base down with your foot, while you unsnap the handle from its locked position with a backwards hand movement. Perhaps, due to the weight of the battery (?), it just cannot stand on its own--I'm not sure why. But just a note that if you're not in the process of vacuuming or storing it in its vertical holder, you will need to rest the unit against the wall or something similar to prevent it from falling over.
2) This unit works as well as any other vacuum I've owned in terms of picking up larger debris. However, there is a bit of a learning curve when it comes to larger-sized items on the floor. Dust, small fragments of paper and even kibbled sized items are no challenge for this vacuum. However, it had difficulty picking up a loose almond (shelled) on the floor, even with a couple back and forth motions. The trick to larger-sized debris items is to pick up the vacuum and place the roller brush directly over the item instead of pushing backwards and forwards with the handle. Problem solved.
3) The manual is essentially missing from the box, which doesn't make a lot of sense, since there are two other inserts included, which cover quick-start, do's and don'ts, and warranty type information. To access the User's Manual, you either need to scan in the supplied QR code with your smartphone, or go to the Samsung Support website for detailed usage information and videos. You can also obtain usage information from third-party video sites and internet searches. I just don't understand the cost savings by not including a User's Guide or manual with the product. It seems like a fair amount of unnecessary extra steps before being able to fully understand and use the vacuum for its first use.
4) The other thing to note is that this vacuum is sold in about a half dozen other countries, and with each country, there are some slight differences as to what is included in the box. I started by reading international reviews on the product and noticed some of the following differences: the U.S. includes a single 100-minute battery, whereas other countries may also include an additional 60-minute battery. In the United States the color choice of the vacuum is a single Satin Black, whereas in other parts of the world it may also be available in Greige (a gray/beige combination) or Mint Green. Also, some countries include the accessory cradle/caddy holder, whereas here in the U.S. it is not even available as an optional purchase add-on. And lastly, earlier releases of the vacuum included the spray spinning sweeper with the purchase of the vacuum, and here it is available as an add-on purchase only (and well worth it, I might add!). I cannot explain these differences, as the vacuum has essentially the same list price throughout the world.
In total, I think this is an excellent product that is top-notch in terms of quality, technology and performance. As alluded to earlier, I did purchase the 3-year warranty with the vacuum, but I notice that the vacuum already has a 2-year warranty. Something to look at more closely, if you are planning to protect your purchase. In terms of putting everything into perspective, at this point, this is the best vacuum I have ever owned. Just being cordless adds so much ease and versatility in terms of vacuuming--I would never go back to a corded vacuum cleaner again!

Best Vacuum by far!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is by far the best vacuum I have ever owned! I used to be a Dyson guy until I tried out the original Bespoke Jet. I used it everyday for years until it broke.. I decided to upgrade to the Bespoke Jet Ultra and I am glad I did! The battery life is amazing, the suction is great and the LED light on the vacuum head is awesome for seeing particles on the floor to vacuum! I even bought one of these for my mom and she's impressed with it as well!
