Significant Upgrade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently replaced our 21 yo Frigidaire which had a compressor making noises for the last year. This model is a welcome upgrade in style and spaciousness. Still working at getting the temps just right, but I appreciate how quick and easy it is to set precise temps. Only complaints are the noisy grindy sound of the flex drawer and freezer. Also, the support bracket in the middle of the shelves make it difficult to store some larger items. Finally, the smudgeproof finish is not as smudgeproof as I was hoping, but with no handles, this unit is a breeze to clean with a moist microfiber towel.

WONDERFUL FRIDGE!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the convertible drawer. Love the snack drawers. It is much more spacious than I expected. The ice is a great size, easy to dispense into insulated bottles. I do wish the installers had explained that it would take perhaps 48 hours for the freezer, water, and ice maker to get to the correct temperature.

Laundry room fridge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this to use as a second fridge, placed in our laundry room. Currently using the conversion drawer for beverages. Pros: flip up shelf allows for taller items, large door bins. Ginormous ice bin, makes appx 7lbs per day. Conversion drawer has 3 different setting options, freezer, drinks and deli. Conversion drawer set on drinks keeps them VERY cold, almost at freezing. Don't have any kids that use "snacks" so I use the snack drawers for cream cheese bars and butter stick packages, perfect fit. Self closing drawers help ensure they aren't left ajar.
Cons: This is the biggest disappointment and poor design IMO, the Flex drawer has NO light. So you can't just open that drawer if the room is dark and see what's in it, like to grab a beverage, You have to turn a room light on or open up the refrigerator doors above to illuminate the drawer below or grope blindly in the drawer for something.. NO crushed ice option, only cubed. Door ajar alert is TOO quiet, no way to increase sound level. Takes 5 minutes for the door ajar alert to sound, this is way too long. Bottom freezer has two levels, upper shelf has only a small lip on front ledge so is really only good for packaged/boxed stackable items unless you place bins in there. Dispensing water, there's a loud click when activated and shut off. Compressor continually runs, but this is normal.

Well designed

Having fought with our old Samsung ice maker for years we steered clear of making that mistake again. But, we wanted a four door refrigerator with an ice/water dispenser and the Fridgidaire was the best looking and most functional of all the options. So far we are very happy with its operation and the convenience of the internal layout.

It comes with lots of space and the middle drawer was a selling point for me.
