Easy Setup, Amazing Results

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Birdfy Hum Feeder and have been thrilled with how it lets me see hummingbirds up close. It even captured a bird I couldn't identify, and the Birdfy app identified it as an oriole! The oriole seems just as thrilled with my purchase as I am and has become a frequent visitor.
The feeder was incredibly easy to set up—I had it assembled, filled, and hanging in less than five minutes. If you enjoy watching hummingbirds and other backyard visitors, I highly recommend the Birdfy Hum Feeder!

Great way to learn about hummingbirds

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been testing the Birdfy Hum Feeder Ruby for almost two months and have been pleased with it. It is a great way to learn more about hummingbirds and watch their interesting behaviors, especially when multiple come to it at the same time and interact with each other. It is a nice complement to my other Birdfy feeder products, and is simple to add to the mix.
Within the first hour of hanging it, I had two different types of hummingbirds visit, so this was encouraging. It has had regular traffic. It doesn't have a solar panel, but the battery life seems reasonable. I was down to 20% after 6 weeks.
One week when we had strong winds, so it did cause many false triggers which was frustrating and draws down the battery in this time. I did find that I could use a couple zip ties to stabilize the rotational motion, but still had some vertical motion, so I had to step down the Sensitivity to about 20%. As a secondary step, I wrapped a wire around the bottom and tied to the rail to get optimal results. Stabilization and triggers may be a challenge since this is designed to hang on a pole and can swing. With my steps though, I am getting reliable performance now.

The unit is well designed for filling and keeping the liquid in the unit, while also keeping insects out of it which is a nice feature. The lid is pretty tight, so I have been reluctant to remove it for refill and cleaning, as I don't want to break the tabs. You can spin the camera off easily to fill it up or remove the bottom completely to bring inside to rinse out. It has worked out well.
Overall, I think it is a nice addition to the Birdfy offering and has given me more interesting views of hummingbirds.

I have it placed among my phlox and butterfly bush and just add sugar water. I am beginning to see daily visitors. Easy to hang on a Shepard’s hook. I have other birdfy products and I love this new addition! I highly recommend

I have used Birdfy products for many years. I have been pleased with the product and service. Over the years, I have also fed hummingbirds. When Birdfy produced a hummingbird feeder, I purchased one. I now know that the hummingbird feeder also is visited by Baltimore Orioles and another hummingbird species not found in Illinois. As a side note, I have a koi pond where I feed the birds. The camera lets me know when a blue heron is stalking my pond.

Solid feeder - great battery life & build quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Solid little feeder so far. I have not had any hummingbirds visit yet, though my other hummingbird feeder has been quiet too, so I am hoping they return soon so I can get some nice photos (which I have had good luck with on my other feeders). The camera quality looks good overall -- the image attached is obviously a shot of a confused sparrow, but I wanted to provide SOME type of bird photo. The slight smudge on the right seems rain-related since the image is normally clear and I have no complaints whatsoever about the image quality so far.
I did forget this model does not include a solar panel, but battery life has been impressive, IMO. After a couple weeks with lots of recordings from birds and squirrels, it is still at 80%, which lines up well with Birdfy’s claim of up to 2 months of use (which, again, I did not check before purchasing so I haven't been too rigorous in seeing the exact battery drain). I still might get a solar panel for this, but given you need to/should take these in more often to refill/clean, it doesn't seem like too much of an issue (charging is easy and the port is accessible). It also looks nice, feels solid, and has handled plenty of rain with no signs of water damage.
Overall, so far so good and it's a solid feeder! I've recommended it to my mom who has been getting more hummers and am hoping to see what this thing can do with photos of high-speed wings flapping!

Small and easy to set-up

Set-up for this feeder is super simple! There are only two parts- the camera and the base that holds the nectar. As with other Birdfy feeders, it's quick and easy to add through the app. It took less than five minutes from opening the box to putting it outside. It's also small, so it was easy to find a spot for it in the yard. We tested the camera and it's excellent with clear and bright pictures. We haven't had any visitors yet, but we just put it out, so I'm hoping they find it soon!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this hummingbird feeder! It is one of my favorite Birdfy devices. Easy to set up, easy to hang. The only one thing I did notice is that it is sometimes hard to remove the base from the top to clean the feeder, but this feature also prevents it from leaking so I gently use a butter knife to help pop them apart. I love seeing all the different hummingbirds in our area and highly recommend getting the AI subscription as well.

We have the Birdfy, Birdfy 2 and now the Hum Feeder Ruby which is my favorite. It is a great price point, easy to put together and the camera quality is incredible. Watch my video. You can even see the hummingbirds tongue come out after drinking! I would absolutely recommend buying the Hum Feeder.
