Screwed Down all the way

I found out the threads on the base of the bulb are short compared to other E12 bulbs, so screwed in all the way it wouldn't make an electrical connection in the socket. I was able to get them to work in one light fixture, but it wasn't where I wanted to use them. Disappointed, I figured there was a standard to adhere to for E12 bulbs.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
