Things get inside top

Things get inside through the tiny holes on the back and now I can see a dog hair that is bugging the crap out of me. No way to get it out. Also has yellowed dramatically and looks ugly now.

Backspin broken after a week?

I recently purchased the pop socket backspin 45 rpm, and it was working great until it began to creak and stop spinning as long.
I've only had this for a week, and I don't know if it is just mine, or other spinners too, but there seems to be something wrong with the bearing.
