Basic Oven With Extras

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This GE 5 Burner Free Standing Electric Range with Oven Crisp Mode is a pretty basic and straightforward model. It is supposed to be energy efficient, though I have not had it nearly enough to compare it to other appliances.
The controls are easy to use, turn knob style and push button. They are very user friendly and easy to navigate. The burners get hot quick and stay heated consistently, with out heat fluctuations. There is plenty of room for large pans to fit at the same time. The one complaint I have for the cooktop is that it is so hard to clean. Even with cooktop cleaner and cleaning directly after cooking, things already stained. Even boiled over water spots show up badly.
The oven has a great feature that counts up the temperature until it reaches your desired temp, which I love! It also heats up fast and stays pretty consistent when baking. I have baked both sweet and savory dishes with no problems in this oven. I love the crisper mode, as it allows me to crisp up dishes at the end of cooking.
This does not have an oven door lock option. This could be a deal breaker for households with young kids. This also does not come with a printed, paper manual, only an online version is available “in an effort to be better ambassadors to the environment”.

A great crisp feature and multi-use stove top bur

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This GE Stainless Steel Electric Radiant Cooktop has some nice features. This oven has a very nice crisp feature that is similar to air frying. It does this by rotating the heat between the bottom and broil elements . My thawed chicken came out very crispy. Also, this glasstop has five burners. There are two large burners in the front, with one of them being able to switch between a large/small pan. There are three burners in the back with the middle one's use is to keep items warm. I cook for a larger family and will start my home canning soon, so these are very nice features to have. I do wish the bottom storage drawer had taller sides for more storage capability.

A Solid Appliance!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The GE GRF500SVSS seems like it is a reliable, if no frills, choice for an appliance. It is nicely styled, but doesn’t really have any remarkable features. The smooth cooking surface is easy to clean and the controls are efficiently laid out. Unfortunately, the delivery people did not give me a manual to explain its features. The oven does have a ‘crisp’ mode which is somewhat like an air fryer. The oven is quiet and seems to provide all the safety features that anyone would need.

Although the reason I needed a new oven is less than joyful, the experience with this GE appliance is really nice so far. I intentionally steered clear of a more "fancy" oven. This is not the cheapest, but it's a more than decent level or 2 up. I'm new to a glass top stove, so I'm not exactly sure how to clean without scratching it. A couple of odd circular "stains" have appeared even after cleaning. The quick preheat is really great, and I've been enjoying 'crisp' mode (no technical air fry means no fan to clean!). Definitely appreciating GE!

Reaches baking temperature very fast

My favorite part is that The oven reaches baking temperature really fast. I moved from a gas to electric range and so had a learning curve but the range heats the pans evenly and I have no complaints. I would recommend this range
