Solid microwave

Great microwave! Only issue is that the buttons are very sensitive so since it is a drawer microwave, when you are standing in front of it, it is easy for the buttons to be unintentionally pressed.

Insufficient number of features and functionality.

I am not thrilled with this appliance. The sensor cook and reheat functions overheat and overcook on every setting. There are not enough options for reheating different types of foods. There are not enough options for melting or softening. You cannot melt or soften anything under 1/2 a stick of butter or 4 oz. of chocolate. It is attractive.

We’re glad to hear you like the appearance of the microwave drawer oven, and we’d like to address any issue you’re having.

Your manual has information about using Sensor Features starting on page 13; the manual is linked here: https://products-salsify.geappliances.com/image/upload/s--fYq8PQ09--/j0ks1pdwr3utvkhx9b4f.pdf. The manual also has information about the other features, troubleshooting tips, etc.

We can advise that Sensor Reheat is designed for single servings of recommended foods, and Cook Time should be used for large amounts of food. If the correct amount is being used, then to address the issue with overheating and overcooking we recommend disconnecting the microwave from power for a couple of minutes before reconnecting, to reset it. We also have information about what to check when food isn’t cooking properly at this link: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=18800

Your feedback regarding the available options, the appearance, etc. will be shared with our product team for consideration. If you aren’t able to solve the issues and think service is needed, our Bodewell team is available at 833-426-3393. They are open Monday – Friday, 8AM – 8PM ET, and an appointment can also be scheduled online at this link: https://www.bodewell.com/schedule-repair-service

I love my new microwave. It is full of easy features and easily controlled. Huge space for capacity and I love it more than my Panasonic at my other home.

There is a random beeping that I am unable to identify or stop. The drawer at times doesn’t stay open. I need to physically hold/stop the drawer from immediately closing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We'd like to help you with your unit's beeping. There are some features that can make your unit produce beeps, such as Sensor Popcorn, Sensor Reheat and Sensor Cook, you can find additional information in pages 13 to 14 of the owner's manual here: https://products-salsify.geappliances.com/image/upload/s--fYq8PQ09--/j0ks1pdwr3utvkhx9b4f.pdf

You can turn off all beeping sounds by pressing the Mute On/ Off button located in the unit's control panel.

Regarding your unit's drawer, we recommend scheduling service with one of our Bodewell technicians by calling 1-833-426-3393 or visiting us online at: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The microwave works fine. The drawer design looks nice in my new kitchen but it is difficult to clean. At times after pushing the open button the drawer opens fully but then immediately closes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are glad to hear that your new unit is working well. We'd like to help with some care and cleaning tips for your unit. A good tip to know is that an occasional thorough wiping with a solution of baking soda and water keeps the inside fresh. More in depth cleaning information can be found in the manual on page 18 at the link here- https://products-salsify.geappliances.com/image/upload/s--fYq8PQ09--/j0ks1pdwr3utvkhx9b4f.pdf.

Regarding the door closing on you. We recommend if this were to happen again, trying out an electronic reset. This can be done by shutting off power at the breaker for 2-3 minutes, then powering it back on.

If the reset doesn’t help, then service with our Bodwell team may be needed. We will put their phone number and link below. 833-426-3393 https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm
