Love it. Like the previous model, is is great for users with hearing aids. My only complaint is the previous model had a nice little pocket on the outside of the case. It would be nice to see that return.

Horrible clamping force. A20 was a better product. Unfortunately I returned mine. Very disappointed.

Buttons quality is bad, they seem weaker than A20s.

A Let Down

Thought it would be better. Switched over from Lightspeed Sierras in hopes the ANR would be better. Unfortunately, every time I turn my head the ear seal breaks and the ANR turns off. Still working with them to see if things improve. I fly 95% of the time with a hat and aviation glasses.

Hello,

I'm sorry to hear you've had difficulties with ANR. The ANR shouldn't turn off when moving the headset, breaking a seal will let in external sound but ANR will remain on. Can you please check that you are not accidentally engaging tap controls for talk-through communication as this will suspend ANR while you communicate with people nearby. There is a switch on the down cable which can be turned to the off position to prevent this from engaging accidentally if you are grabbing the headset to reposition it.

I've provided a link with details for troubleshooting ANR issues below. If you do find that you continue to have unexpected issues, please reach out to support to seek further assistance . https://bose.life/3ET4mCs

Lighter A20

I tried the A30 at sun and fun and really liked it. It reminded me of a headset I liked but was no longer made. After using it for the last several flights (about 50 hrs), for the plane I fly (unpressurized turbo-prop) it is no better than the A20. The A30 has better high velocity wind noise reduction, but overall noise has a lot of background noise. It is almost like a white noise. The background noise makes it hard to hear communications on the radio. The A30 is light weight and has a good length line for plugging in. Blue tooth is good. out of aircraft sound is great.

Thanks for your review. The Bose A30 Aviation Headset has multiple built-in equalization circuits. The primary ICS/radio communications path is designed to meet the latest TSO standard and to optimize voice intelligibility. An additional active EQ helps optimize the experience through the secondary (Bluetooth) audio path for wireless audio sources.

The A30 Aviation Headset is the evolution of the A20. Its sleek, modern design significantly improves long-term comfort with a lower on-head weight and reduced clamping force. It also features three modes of active noise reduction and tap control for talk-through communication.

The A30 upholds the acclaimed noise reduction and state-of-the-art materials and electronic capabilities of the A20. Each of these advancements helped create the best combination of noise reduction and audio clarity on the market.

Purchased my A30 and with all Bose products the quality
Is there and on point.
The noise canceling was so good that it makes flying an old cessna allot less exhausting and most enjoyable.

A30 = New Standard!

Owned for two weeks and used twice so far. Very comfortable and performs well. Appreciate the varying levels of noise cancellation. Owned the A20 and Lightspeed which were always great but these are the new standard worth the investment.
