Can’t get my headphones to work for me!

I want to listen to my music on Pandora to start with. My other headset allowed me to. I don’t want to join the apps that Bose is telling me I need to join. I want to turn it on and have it work. So far it’s still in the box because I got so angry with it. HELP PLEASE

Purchased these headphones as a Christmas gift for my daughter. She likes listening to music, but she also likes using her headphones to block out loud sounds which can trigger her social anxiety. She said the noise canceling in these are the best she's ever experienced. She also loves the sounds quality. The color was perfect too, matching the colors she ordered to wear. It is her favorite Christmas, as a result of all of the above.

Having had these for just over a month, I've noticed I love them the more I use them. They replaced a pair of Beats Studio Pro 4, which I handed down to someone not so picky about audio quality. I have my EQ flat for my audio streaming service and fine tune it with the Bose app and I have found this to be the best way to tune your Bose QC's to your ears. Aside from excellent sound quality, they are lightweights, portable, and comfortable. I wear them for my workouts at the gym, at bedtime and not once do I feel discomfort. I could not ask for anything more.
