Machine works well but quality control issue?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had the dryer about 3 weeks. It works very well and we like the straightforward controls and intentionally wanted a machine that was not overloaded with tech. We did not want a "smart" appliance, but rather hope it is durable. I suspect it will be durable. When drying smaller items with sheets, the smaller items seem to get bunched up in the center of the tumbling sheets and don't get as dry. We had not seen that in the past. That may reflect the large capacity and the way items get distributed.. The only other concern we had was a quality control finding. The sheet metal on the back of the machine was not screwed in properly such that I noticed a 1/4 inch gap on the back and need to get my socket wrench to close the back properly. There was one screw on the back that was partially hanging out and wasn't fastened properly. That should have been seen in the factory. It shouldn't impact the function, and is fine now, but I was surprised I needed to do a small repair on the day of the installation. Maytag has been known for quality.

Great Dryer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So quiet and dried the clothes properly. Replaced a four year old GE dryer and that thing was complete junk. This is worlds better in terms of build and operational quality AND it’s made in America.
