Nice dryer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has a great capacity for our light comforters and clothes, but it takes longer to dry than expected. I’ve tried different settings with similar results. It runs very quiet, which is nice. I think this evens out the tumble consistency well. The drum doesn’t move around like our old one, so that’s a blessing, and it seems to heat evenly. As long as I get to the laundry right away it doesn’t wrinkle, so I’m not sure about the wrinkle prevention. Overall, it’s not bad for what we paid.

Not enough heat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I currently am not satisfied with this dryer. It is taking 2 complete cycles to dry 1 load. The capacity is great but it should not take 2 cycles to dry. I have never had a problem with a dryer not having enough heat, no matter the brand. So I probably will be contacting Maytag for service.

Dryer Troubleshooting for Long Dry Times: Key Checks
Heating: Check if the dryer is producing heat (run a heated cycle for 5 minutes and feel inside).
Venting & Airflow: This is the most likely cause if the dryer is heating.
Cleanliness: Clean the lint screen after every use and occasionally clean residue from fabric softener. The house vent line should be cleaned every one to two years.
Obstruction: Verify the outside exhaust hood is not blocked (must be 12" from ground/objects).
Condition: Ensure the vent is not crushed and is made of 4" diameter heavy metal material (not foil/plastic).
Length: Keep the vent run as short and straight as possible.
Cycle Selection: Use an automatic cycle for best performance. Note that the EcoBoost™ option will increase drying time by approximately 40 minutes.
Error Codes: An AF or "Check Vent" error code indicates restricted airflow/clogged vent. Touch any key to clear.

Great antiwrinkle dryer settings

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] THIS IS NOT A TOP LOADING DRYER. DOOR SWINGS OPEN TO THE SIDE. This dryer is perfect for me because it's an easy front load dryer with door swinging open top to bottom. When set to be wrinkle free, dryer continues to cycle on and off, giving you extra time to get at it. It's a perfect antiwrinkle dryer.

Worst Maytag washer and dryer ever!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using my new set of Maytags for a couple months now. I have had Maytags for over 38 years and this is my latest set. I don't like either one. I am actually thinking of returning them. I am 5 feet 2 inches tall and I have trouble reaching the bottom of the washer to get the clothes out. The dryer door opens down, and I am continuously bumping my knee on the door and it's hard to reach the clothes in the back. They both take longer to do their jobs. Worst set I have ever used. They also are not getting my clothes as clean as my old ones using the same detergent and softener. They are the worst ever!!!!!!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
