Stopped working in less than a week!

Received the item in a timely fashion. Set it up and tested it and it seemed to work fine. About a week later when it got hot outside, we plugged the unit in, turned on the built in breaker and the unit turned itself on and every light on it lit up and the display read “8.8.” Tried to power the unit off with the power button and nothing happened. And none of the other functions would work. Had to turn off the breaker to shut it off. Turned the breaker back on and there was an electrical clicking sound coming from the unit but no lights were on. Again, pushed the power button and nothing happened. The unit is dead. We have since read reviews about this unit and it seems that we aren’t alone with our issues. Recommend to purchase a name brand unit from a reputable source and avoid this hassle.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
