Intuitive ease of use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This range was the perfect fit for our kitchen re-do! Of course all our major kitchen appliances are KitchenAid! The simple design attracted me first of all. Then the ease of use sealed the deal! The controls are very intuitive and need no explanation. I love the slide out rack in the oven. Similar to easy glide cabinet drawers.I also like the burner size indicator for the large left burner on stove, and the fact that the temperature on burners indicate what that level of heat will cook or melt, etc. I like the fact that in a convection oven there is no coil at the bottom of the oven to have juices dripping on it and causing smoke. Only coil here is on the top and the convection fan does the rest. Very easy to clean when necessary. We made a lot of comparisons between this and other ranges. This was far and above all we looked at in every respect!

Oven uneven baking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had my KitchenAid Induction stove with slow Cook Drawer (only 2 yrs old) replaced by KitchenAid with this model (no induction available). The first time I baked muffins I experienced uneven baking and had to turn my muffin tray around to brown the muffins evenly. Since then I have experienced the uneven cooking with other baking items so now I have to consciously remember to turn pan 1/2 way through. The reason I went with this model was because of the slow cook drawer. Very important feature to me. If your receipt is for 8 hours on low, then allow minimum 10 hrs on this stove. For any receipt that I have used so far I have to add minimum 2 hrs even on the high setting. Unhappy with this stove.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been longing for kitchenAid Appliances for years. And i am on my way. My Husband Surprised me the week before Thanksgiving! Nov.18,2017. And Purchased the Stove. Although , i had no idea , that this was his third attempt. He intended for me to have well before Thanksgiving to conquer the learning curve. But straight out of the box it was cracked across the top. Second attempt was Nov.18th and again this was damanged. Luckily. They had one more at the store. The third time was a charm. But the apparently the manufacture. Damanged from Wearhouse ! But I LOVE ,LOVE it . It does it all and I couldn’t be happier. Makes my kitchen look Sexy. I am now working on completing the suite.
And by the way Thanksgiving was terrific everything turned out beautiful. And tasted Delicious. If you are on the fence about purchasing . Just do it. Will not Disappoint.
And a special thanks to the delivery guys that made two trips to the store in one day to make sure I had my KitchenAid before Thanksgiving!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After researching both gas and electric I choose this model. It takes more time to preheat then I am used to but that's not a big deal. Love the GLASS control panel, easy clean-up and will not show the wear like other models will. Spent a little more but it was well worth it.

If only it worked as good as it looks... F6E9 error code

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought all brand new Kitchen Aid appliances during Black Friday last year. Purchased a fridge w/bottom freezer, dishwasher, microwave and this electric oven.
Most of our appliances are good. We like the fridge, love the microwave, and the dishwasher is ok (dishes are still completely wet at the end, doesn't dry well even with the Heated Dry setting on, but I can live with that).
This oven, however, is disappointing. First of all, it takes FOREVER to pre-heat. Like a half hour or more. Once it is pre-heated and you open it up for 2 minutes to put the baking dish in and shut the oven door, you'll notice the temp drop drastically and it'll take another 10-15 mins to come up to the temp you had set it had. Once it warms though, it's fine. Food cooks fairly well.
My main issue is the F6E9 we keep getting. Unit was installed in mid-December and about 3-4 weeks later, we noticed there was a random F6E9 error code on the display panel. We called the appliance store, they spoke to Kitchen Aid, someone came out to diagnose it, then they came back to repair some parts and we were told it should be fine. Then it happened again. And again. And again!
We have had technicians come out 3-4 times this past year to repair this issue. They've replaced whatever parts they think are causing the issue but it persists. The error code comes back after a few weeks.
Most annoyingly, usually we can hit "cancel" on the touch screen and the error code disappears so we can at least use the stove controls and see the temp etc. on the display panel.
Now, I have to replace the whole stove and hope the issue doesn't occur in the new one.
This time, however, the error code came back 5 days ago and now it won't go away. No amount of hitting cancel gets rid of it. So now, all my touch panel shows is the error code.
To say I expected better from Kitchen Aid would be an understatement. I am extremely disappointed in their appliance quality and will never be purchasing them again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this product because of sabbath mode and because handles match other kitchen aid products I just bought
Disappointed that self cleaning oven is Aqua lift, will entail more work in cleaning. I liked old system of intense heat in oven to clean it out well.
Hard to keep stovetop clean

It works, most of the time

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the first one in 2015, had it replaced because of a bad seal on the cooktop and the infamous communication error. The 2nd one has been serviced for the same communication error and now needs a 3rd service call for the same problem. Stove works quite well, but repeated service calls are annoying and expensive for time. The design of using a glossy back top is really annoying compared to a speckled top on a previous design. Constantly needs cleaning.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am happy with this range for the most part. It did take me a bit to get used to the burners and what heat setting I should use because it seems the medium setting is hotter than I expected. Also, the oven takes a long time to heat up.
