Do not purchase.

Samsung’s The Frame TV is disappointing, to say the least. I purchased this television only 8 months ago and now it is completely unresponsive. It is obviously defective. I don’t want it repaired. I want it replaced or refunded, but clearly Samsung does not stand behind its products.

Defective TVs
on May 11, 2026

This generation of Samsung Frame TV is technically deficient in every way. The video and audio are not crisp and the audio and video inevitably fall out of sync with one another approximately 5 to 15 minutes into any show. This generation of Samsung Frame TV also suffers from significant latency issues in turning on and off and switching between programs and apps. When I tried to invoke my warranty to get TVs that were not defective, the Samsung troubleshooting rep repeatedly gas lit me despite the clear evidence of deficiencies. I will never buy Samsung again and I suggest you do not either.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

NTM2,
Thank you for your feedback on the lip sync issues you're experiencing with your Samsung TV. This may be related to the content source, but if you're noticing the audio delay across all sources or channels, especially when using an external speaker setup (soundbar, receiver, etc.), there are a few settings that may help:
1. Adjust Digital Audio Delay. You can manually increase the audio delay to better match the video: Settings > All Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Digital Output Audio Delay
2. Enable Audio Pass-Through. Samsung TVs include an audio pass-through option, which sends the audio signal directly to your connected soundbar or receiver without additional processing by the TV. This can reduce delay when using external audio devices: Settings > All Settings > Sound > Expert Settings > Digital Audio Output Format > Pass-Through
3. Check for Firmware Updates. Ensure your TV is running the latest software, which may include performance improvements related to sound or sync: Home > left directional key > Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now
If the issue continues after these steps, please contact Samsung Support for additional troubleshooting or assistance. We’re here to help at 1-800-SAMSUNG (8AM – 9PM EST Mon – Fri, 8AM – 6PM Sat – Sun). LiveChat and additional support resources are also available through the Support link on our website.

FrameTV Art Mode / My Photo Album UX Feedback
on May 20, 2026
Posted by: Alan
from Denver CO
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased a 55” 2025 Samsung FrameTV and overall I think it is one of the most innovative and visually attractive televisions currently available. The concept of combining a high-quality television with a digital art display is excellent, and when properly configured, the Art Mode experience can be remarkably convincing. My wife and I are photographers, and after spending considerable time developing a workflow for exporting images from Adobe Lightroom and displaying them on the FrameTV, the final visual results have been outstanding.
The display quality itself deserves praise. Once I calibrated the settings and optimized image exports for the screen, the TV displayed photographs with excellent sharpness, color, and realism. In a properly lit room, guests often initially assume the displayed images are actual framed prints rather than a television panel. Samsung clearly succeeded in the core mission of making the TV disappear into the room aesthetically.
That said, I believe Samsung significantly underestimated how many owners would want to use the FrameTV as a true personal photography gallery rather than simply displaying Art Store content. The current “My Photo Album” management tools feel surprisingly primitive compared to the sophistication of the hardware itself.
The largest issue is photo management. Once you begin working with collections of 50–200 photographs, the interface becomes cumbersome. Deleting photos requires entering a separate delete mode, scrolling through large thumbnail grids, selecting images, and then navigating back to the top of the screen to confirm deletion. There is currently no fast delete shortcut, no efficient batch management, and no way to organize personal galleries into multiple albums.
Another major limitation is metadata support. The thumbnail view only displays the import date rather than the image filename or EXIF capture date. For photographers managing curated collections exported from Lightroom, filenames are far more useful than import dates. Samsung is already reading the image files, so adding optional filename or metadata display would dramatically improve usability.
The handling of mats and filters also needs improvement. Mats can look excellent on photography, but they currently must be adjusted one image at a time. There is no “apply to all” option for mat style, filter, or brightness settings. This becomes tedious when working with larger collections.
I also discovered that the USB workflow works much better than Samsung’s SmartThings transfer process for high-quality photography. USB importing is reliable and preserves image quality well, but even here the software lacks important features such as preventing duplicate imports, replacing existing images with matching filenames, or preserving folder structure from the USB drive.
Despite these frustrations, I still believe the FrameTV is a terrific product. The hardware, display panel, and Art Mode concept are exceptional. What is holding the experience back is primarily software and user interface refinement. Most of the issues I encountered appear solvable through firmware updates rather than hardware changes.
If Samsung invested more heavily in the My Photo Album experience — especially filename display, batch editing tools, multiple albums, and improved navigation — the FrameTV could become the definitive display platform for photographers, digital artists, and collectors.
In short: beautiful hardware, impressive image quality, excellent concept, but the personal gallery management software still feels unfinished for advanced users. I hope Samsung continues to improve the Art Mode experience because the product has enormous potential.
