Great Oven, AWFUL Sounds

this oven looks and works great, but i would not have purchased it if i had known how annoying the sounds would be. by default it plays a ridiculously long musical chime any time you set it or a timer is up. you can disable this, but the only other option is complete silence including no alarm when the timer is up. our samsung washer/dryer and even a stick vaccuum from samsung do this too. why??? who thought it was a good idea to make appliances play a song any time they are used? my only hope is that samsung will be able to offer a software update to give us three sound options - ridiculous music, simple beeps, or off. this is the last samsung product we will buy if this doesn't change.

I am less than a year into owning this range. I don't cook often, I'd say on average I use the oven 3-5 times a month on Average. The interior paint of the oven is starting to peel and break apart. Some of the paint is flakes off is blown around on the food when convection is used. I'm guessing this is not safe to eat. Samsung says this is a visual issue not covered under warranty.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

the knobs turn on with a slight nudge, which is a danger for children! the heat setting numbers are white font on a silver knob. you cannot see what setting the burner is on! can’t the setting numbers be red? next, the front left burner has two pan size heating areas. turning the knob to the left heats the small ring starting with hi. turning it right starts the large ring on hi. the burner on the right has three heating rings. turning the knob to the left turns the small ring on hi. turning the knob to the right turns on the large heating ring to lo. why the difference? turning it straight down heats the middle ring. ask online support, and they say i should read the manual. photos show settings when i use flash. the oven is slightly better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
