Doesn't work

Just bought this and installed it. It doesn't blow cold air. Brand New !! Read the guide and trouble shooting nothing resolved it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Gosh David! I hate that you experienced any hiccups with your purchase. Some tips that can assist with your matter is to change the temperature setting to a lower temperature. Uh oh, dswf! I can imagine how frustrating that noise must be. Please confirm the installation was done correctly, and take a look at the normal noises you can expect to hear from your a/c on page 4 of the following manual:

It is possible the noise you are hearing is caused by improper installation, or it may just be a normal operating sound. ~ Brandi

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the unit several weeks ago to replace a 12, 000 BTU Samsung window unit.
The Frigidaire has more features, is smaller and weighs less, but cools the living room quicker. It also does it more efficiently with the remote sensing feature and does it more quietly. It is easier to install as well.
The only minus is the Styrofoam fresh air/vent mechanism which could be more intricate and sturdy.
Still I give it five stars fir all the pluses.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this ac just over a month ago for our living room and it has done a great job cooling it off considering that it is a large open space that extends into the kitchen and dining room. Love how small it is also, we did not think we would find a 12,000 BTU unit that would fit our small window.
