Bought this unit to replace GCST20S1W1SS which died recently. It was a total piece of junk, so loud it would wake up the dead. Got it as a gift. This unit is MUCH quieter, very quiet in fact so that is good. Hope it lasts longer than the last one. Here's hoping.

There's a Trim Kit available

Just got this microwave today and it seems to be a good unit.
The main reason for the review is to let all of you know that are looking for a trim kit for it, there's a kit for this Whirlpool microwave (WMC50522H) that works perfectly with this GE unit. I don't know the model number of the trim kit because it was around the Whirlpool unit that I replaced and I did not purchase it. I had a hunch since both units were 2.2 cu ft, the fit would be pretty close, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the bottoms of these two microwave ovens were just about identical, down to the mounting screw hole placement and labeling. If you're looking for or needing a trim kit for this GE unit, just search for the trim kit for the Whirlpool listed above.

All good except interior lighting.

The only thing is that it is very disappointing that the color of the interior is way too dark plus the light is not bright enough to see the contents of the oven.

Sensor cooking determines the length of cooking time as well as the correct power level to use. It takes the guesswork out of microwaving.
