I bought this, because my mom has been struggling with fevers, despite medical attention. We had been resting a little battery-operated fan on the bed, as I thought we would have to with this one. Absolutely unnecessary. It might be small, but it has power. It is almost entirely made of metal, which I prefer, but have come to not expect in modern products. It is retro-elegant, and it is a joy to use. One slight quibble is that the color seems a little darker than the photos, but it is such a relief to have a quality product one hardly cares.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I desperately needed a desk fan at work, and when I saw this fan on my friend's desk, I knew it was the one. I love the retro look, and it works beautifully, as I expect from Vornado. The two settings are exactly what I need. The high setting is quite powerful but still pretty quiet, and the low setting keeps the air moving without me even noticing. It's perfect.

When I first bought this it made a weird squeaking noise that lasted for about 10 minutes before it went away and it did that every time I used it. I had already thrown out the box so I just dealt with it. After about 2 weeks of use it doesn’t make that noise anymore, I hope it doesn’t come back.
