Spills, spills, and more spills

The carafe for this machine is terrible. love thermal carafes for coffee. However, the pouring feature of this carafe is awful. When pouring from this carafe, coffee spills out regularly. Don’t pour it over important papers or clothing. Pour it over something you can wipe it up because more often than not, it's going to spill. This is especially true for the last little bit of coffee in the carafe. You have to turn the thing upside down to get all the coffee to pour out. This also causes a spill. The carafe is poorly designed. It is hard to imagine why such an impressive machine was put on the market with such a poorly designed carafe.
Most disappointing, when I contacted Cuisinart and shared my feedback, I was brushed aside. I was told that if I didn't like it, I could try returning it to the store where I bought it. How about listening to your customers and designing a better product? If I had it to do over again, I would choose a different brand. I will not buy another Cuisinart machine until they produce a better product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great tasting coffee but the clock doesn't work

It makes delicious coffee and is very easy to use. Unfortunately the clock runs fast and is impossible to set a timer on. Apparently it is a common issue with this model.

Does a good job as expected. Grind is excellent. I replaced a prior 12 "cup" I owned for 10+ years. Suggestions for improvement: 1) the pour spout spills a bit so improve the pour design. 2) The angle of this model and prior designs require the pouring arm to be raised high - change the angle to make pouring easier. 3) One "cup" is not a real cup so when filling water it's about 1/2 a real cup. 4) the large opening is great for cleaning (& drying) 5) This model does not allow cleaning of the Burr Grind area (the prior 12 cup did allow this)

This coffee maker makes a good cup of coffee, HOWEVER the carafe is a big problem. It leaks whenever a cup is poured despite how tight it is on. Additionally it doesn't keep the coffee hot enough for very long. I am disappointed in the overall quality of this.

Like operation of machine. Cleaning is easy. Capacity for beans lasts for 3 days. However, pot design is not good. 1st pot replaced by Cuisinart with one call. Leaking between top black plastic part of pot where it meets the steel part. Pouring coffee out design is bad also. As coffee is poured with a full pot, coffee comes out of the middle of the top as well as the spout. We have to pour out extremely slow and careful not to spill all over; applies to filling machine with new water as well.
I would recommend this to a friend!
