Great consistent coffee!

I would give it a 5 star rating but can’t get past the drippy pours. The old one was worse and this one is much better. Coffee is consistent great with the same strength and flavor. Easy cleanup, coffee stays hot for a long time in the carafe. Set up was easy and the auto feature works well. All in all I’m pleased with the purchase and performance of the coffee maker.

Good...but...

Overall it works well, simple to use. Some issues: 1. I wish the water fill tank was easier to access. My coffee machine is on my counter under some cabinets. I can't fill the reservoir unless I turn the machine sideways. 2. My previous machine was a Capresso. It was much easier to fill; it heated the coffee hotter and kept it warm much longer than the carafe from this machine; and it lasted 12 years. The verdict is still out on this machine concerning its longevity..

There is not a heating element below the coffee carafe. The coffee is room temperature in 10 minutes. The screw in lid was not operating properly and another one was sent to me at no charge and worked better for 2 days and then quit working properly. I fill the carafe with hot water before I brew and warm up the water I put into the coffee maker in the hopes of getting a hot cup of coffee. Still 10 minutes later I am microwaving my coffee to heat it up. Nowhere in the description did it say there was no heating element to keep the coffee hot. The user guide states that it will provide hot coffee for hours. When I talked to customer support they told me that without a heating element it will not provide hot coffee for hours. Please change the descriptions and features and the user manual so it is not misleading to us consumers. I’m going back to my cheap coffee maker where I have more ability to adjust the strength of my coffee and the temperature.

Burr GrindNBrew MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT

My old grind n brews were absolutely the best. Try two news ones and returned both. Terrible coffee. The ten year old unit that just quit made better coffee than the new versions. I quit Cuisanart and bought a different brand at twice the cost. Bye Bye Cuisanart from a past loyal customer

The jury is still out

Bought this Cuisinart Burr Grind DGB850 to replace a DGB600 which I loved and has lasted me close to 20 years, it made great coffee. This time around I thought I would buy a coffee pot that I could fill with whole beans once a week instead of measuring out beans daily. Well the jury is still out on this new one. It has a nice design and sleek look. The only complaint that I have and it is a major complaint is that when I set the display for eight cups of coffee and fill it with 8 cups of water it grinds so many beans the it totally fills the coffee basket! The coffee is way too strong for my taste (I previously used 8 scoops for eight cups of coffee in my previous coffee maker). I half to lie to the coffee maker and tell it that I’m only making 4 cups and not 8 (I don’t like to lie). Otherwise the coffee maker grinds way too many beans. There is very little control of how many beans it grinds. I’m a little disappointed with Cuisinart this time . I have always loved Cuisinart products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow blown away at how awesome this maker is. Super easy to use, fill water and hopper, put filter in basket, choose your strength of brew and number of cups. It beeps when done and automatically turns to warm. No mess to clean except for empty basket. The thermal pot is the best I've ever had, 6hrs later and it was still hot! I'm in love with it.

I was excited about my new coffee machine but alas ! it’s been a struggle between us to get it to work. It’s hit and miss! I guess it’s all in how I hold my tongue when I’m trying to set it. I miss my older version!
