1–The lid causes the carafe to dribble coffee badly. Big mess. 2–It cannot make 10 cups of strong coffee. With the correct grind settings it does not grind enough beans.
8 cups of water, setting for 10 cups worth of beans, remove the lid before pouring, and it is just OK.

The first pot we purchased was brought back to store, couldn’t get the first pot of plan water to go through. The second purchase ran the recommended plan water through, worked fine. 1st pot of coffee everything worked. Set the timer for next morning, started beeping because the basket for the grounds was not setting up high enough to touch the button to allow the coffee maker to work. Rigged the basket to setup higher with a piece of paper towel. Fingers are crossed that it continues to function.

This is my third Cuisinart burr grind coffeemaker. I enjoy the convenience of placing coffee beans in the container and having the beans ground automatically right before brewing. After adjusting the strength and number of cups to my satisfaction, it consistently brews the coffee to my liking. My only aggravation from this machine comes from it always making me open the coffee basket to check if it is empty every time I try to start it, even if I had just opened it to place a new coffee filter. Also, it would be convenient if the machine maintained the number of cups from the previous use instead of making me turn the knob each time.

I returned it in 3 days. Steam came from the front and the filter door reached 176 degrees. My wife was burned trying to empty the basket after brewing.

This was purchased to replace the previous model of the grind and brew which we loved! This new version was not up to Cuisinart expectations!! The machine produced so much steam that my cabinets and counter were wet and the coffee was awful! We returned it immediately!

had it for less than a month. This morning is stopped brewing halfway through the water that was in the resevoir. Took an hours worth of trouble shooting to and still no idea why it stopped brewing only half done with the water. It did this one other time but I had put pre-ground beans in and it wasn't as hard to restart that time. None-the-less, it has proven itself it be a problematic machine and will be returned.
