Product was junk, never got hot enough to do more than melt butter on the bread even though the light said it was ready. Left the sandwich in it for over 20 minutes and still wouldn’t cook it. Ended up moving my sandwiches to a pan and returning this piece of junk to the store.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Can’t use regular toast slices because they are too big, unless you cut off a lot of the edge. It’s also very difficult to clean because it’s not submersible and the plates cannot be removed

We gave away our previous 25 year old sandwich grill when we moved last year. We bought this new one and it is, for better or worse, identical to the old one. It is simple to operate and the sandwiches are delicious. I gave only four stars because you have to use small, thin pieces of bread to get the grill to close all the way, and a lot of cheese melts out so you have a lot to clean up. I haven't tried using less cheese. And, the directions do urge you to dry your ingredients (vegetables) before using them. I think this will last at least 25 years if not longer!
