[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Game changer for reaching and maintaining optimal cooking temperatures. I struggled with only using wood fuel and/or charcoal to bake pizzas. Hitting 850-900 degrees with propane fuel is now a piece of cake!

Way better than wood, difficult dial to reach

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been struggling for some time the wood burning Ooni (low temperature) and finally decided to buy the gas insert. It is definitely a game changer. The Pizza cooks much more evenly across the top. and require less constant turning. I have still not been able to get the stone up to 900 (or even close for that matter) but I have not experimented yet with things like making sure the stone is totally dry, and running the oven for 30 mins prior to cooking the first pie. Either way, the gas is way better.
One issue is that the control is difficult to reach unless the back of the oven is easily accessible (which mine is not when it is in its normal location) and one is prone to burning one's arm in the reach.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new gas burner for my Ooni Karu 12 is great. It works a lot better than the old version of the gas burner which I had a couple of years ago. I used the new burner to make pizza this weekend when the weather was cold and I did not want to tend to a wood fire. It is worth the money for convenience in making pizza when you do not want to hang out in poor weather or when you want a quick pizza.
