Excellent tool, ideal for checking when temperatures are spot on for cooking.
Best to go with the branded one so it correlates with the Ooni oven, others I have tried don't read as well.

its good, not optimal. cannot stand the heat for example if yoy want to take a lodge cast iron with it. there is not enough insulation

Essential with open door gas operation. This is the only way to tell the temperature. Easy to use and convenient.
